Question about Ovens

1 Answer

Hi! Could you please help me? We have just bought a house where a BLANCO BFS60WXFF Stove/Oven and the provious owner did not leave us the User Manual. We lost power the other day and now I am unable to set the clock and also the Electronic Ignition does not work nor the oven - I think you have to have the clock set for these to work???? Could you please forward me a User Manual for this model so I can use this Stove/Oven correctly. Thank you in advance. Kind Regards Bibi

Hi i have a blanco electric oven model no bms 901 sse and the timer shows A and no time . And the oven does not work can u please help me

I had a similar problem with the same model of Blanco Oven but in my case the clock was completely dead apart from the letter A which was lit (and this proved there was power to the oven).

The oven would not work because the clock module (electronics control unit) was dead.
I rang a Blanco parts supplier, who advised the clock module was no longer available (Blanco advised the same). Another supplier said they could supply the clock module for A$425 which is an absolute ripp off (a reasonable price would be A$50 as it only has a couple of components).
As the clock module is not essential (it only provides the time, alarms, and fancy features most people don't need) I decided to by-pass it by shorting out the two (brown) wires on the LHS (which connect to the relay on the clock module). In effect it behaves as if the relay is always ON, supplying power to the stove.
The oven now gets power and works fine and it cost me virtually nothing to repair. I strongly recommend this solution to anyone experiencing problems with the clock module.

Some basic understanding of electrical/electronics systems is all that is needed to implement this repair.

My Blanco oven will not work. Display shows 0:00 'auto' flashing. Cooktop works fine. I have checked the manual but it was of no help. Model number is BF95W. Tried turning off/on at power. This did...

Hi You need to set your clock If it is a digital timer you usually have to press 2 of the buttons on the bottom and once you see a change in the clock (usually it stops flashing) press the up or down button to set the time once the time is set you may need to push the manual button sometimes this button is identified by a hand regards Geoff Stove Recyclers WA

We have a maytag gas single oven stove. Where do

Hi.

The beeping sound is a warning because the oven is in lock condition. The oven is not faulty, and the code is not 5AB, but SAB.

SAB means that the oven is in Sabbath mode, and the control board will be locked for 72 hours with SAB on display.

If power is disconnected a new 72 hours cycle will start.

Push and hold the Clock button for about 10 seconds, that will reset SAB mode.

If that does not work leave the oven connected and off for 72 hours. If the oven does not unlock after three days, then the electronic control may be stuck in SAB mode because it is faulty, in that case contact the manufacturer at the number listed on the owners manual.

Regards.

I just bought oven no owners manual how do you preheat the oven?

In your browser bar type in:
whirlpool user manual
then click on whirpool www etc.
Click on instructions (for user download)
in the box that says CODE type in your model no, get the letters and numbers correct, put in the language, and you will get a pdf of your model which you can print off.
Plz leave feed back for this solution.
Thanks.

"PF" indicates the electronic control detected a Power Failure.
This could have been caused a brief power outage OR may be an indication that the connections to the oven, either at the stove or at the plug are loose.
