Silverdragon posted on here about the Whirlpool Wtw6600sw2, cabrio giving me the F50 code on how to solve it,--F50 - motor stalled The biggest problem with this machine is the rps sensor. If you pull the motor cover you can get to the rps. Then take the rps on and off about 5 times to remove a factory coating that keeps it from making the contact that it needs. For some reason the machine will work fine for several months after purchase before this occurs. After you do this it works fine. F50 f51 f70. How do you take off the motor cover?

Tip mch back and locate the lg allen bolt in the center of the magnet and remove counterclokwise. The motor is actually a large magnet that revolve around a stator, a series of windings. Pull hard and place magnet away from any metal. Once off, remove the bolts holding the stator to the base and on the reverse side is the rps sensor. It looks like a wedge and is clipped onto the stator.

Any time you get a F-50 code on one of these, Whirlpool recomends you replace the control, wire harness, and RPS sensor if the tub bearing main shaft aren't binding.

Washer stops and gives f50 code

Hi, the F50 error code is a stalled motor error. There is a part called a "Rotor Position Sensor" that sees the motor running. This error will display if it faulty..

I need the service manual for a Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SW2 to find out what the code F50 mean and how to replace RPS sensor.

The F50 error code indicates that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, you could have an item caught between the outer tub and the inner spin basket. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code.

If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning.

Washer whirlpool cabrio message code f50,washer

F50 - This is a motor stalled failure. If this persists you will eventually need to call in a service engineer to repair it as the machine will eventually stop working altogether.
