Hello.

Please install all the driver of your system maybe this can resolve the problems. However if this not work then, you have to reinstall the operating system and also the drivers. refer here for windows installation procedure. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/install.mspx

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why can't i find a user manual for an asus laptop

Hi Joy,
Contact Asus customer support and complain bitterly!! It's a new machine and it should have a user manual. I think you're entitled to insist that they provide you with one.

How do I turn on my touch pad on an Asus lap top?

Please try the Fn+F6 or Fn+F8 key combinations. If you look at the Function keys in the keyboard, they will have symbols on them in Blue color, the same color as the Fn key. Find the symbol that resembles a touchpad like a mouse/box with finger , then hold down the Fn key and press that Function key, ie, F6 or F7 or F8. This will enable/disable the touchpad.

Open the Playing Audio troubleshooter by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under Hardware and Sound, click Troubleshoot audio playback. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

HID-compliant mouse

Not much description to go on so im guessing, right click my computer and go to manage or search device manager, click on mice and other pointing devices right click and un-install restart the laptop on boot up it will recognise a mouse and install it from there if the problem is still there then try holding down the Fn button and look at the top of your keyboard to something that looks like a mouse pad and press it as doing this will turn on and or off the mouse pad if the problem still persists then there is an indication of a circuitry fault and should consult asus to send it in for replacement or a computer repair work shop to have this fixed

How do I disable the mouse pad on my ASUS K52F Lap top? I prefer the remote mouse but I keep touching the mouse pad when I type and the cursor just goes someplace else.

Hey man had the same prob but found how to fix it :). go to control panel click hardware and sound. then you will see devices and printers, under that will be, add device, add a printer, mouse. Click mouse! Then click the tap ELAN, there is a box to check, it says, "Disable when external USB mouse plug in". there you go. Hope that help.

Asus mousepad stopped working after windows vista update

1.) Try reloading the touch pad drivers, should be on the CD that came with it or check the Asus website for new ones.
2.) Have you accidently disabled it? There is a Fn key combination to do this. Try Fn+F9. Also, there is an option to automatically disable the mouse pad when a USB mouse is plugged in. And of course, you can disable it from the Device Manager.
3.) Try going into :: Control Panel, find "Mouse", select the "Device Settings" tab, select the touchpad and click the "Settings" button). Check the settings in the "Tapping" section.
