Yes copper is fine to hook up your dryer, just use flare fittings, not compression fittings, this is to guard against leaks.

Just bought a used frigidaire crown series gas dryer need a hook up line in the back to connect the gas. Is it a certain size i need or how do i find out

Hi,
The line size depends on three things...the BTU of the burner and the length of the line...and the types of gas..Natural or LP
To find the line size you nees a chart that gives you the sizing based on these factors...

Here is a chart for Natural gas and I'm sure LP is also in thei site if you need that...

How do you get into the dryer to change the natural gas connector to a propane connection?

Not sure what country you are in, so I am unsure that the same conditions apply.

The gasline from the meter must be interrupted. Propane bottles connection pipe can then be brazed to the copper line . By law a propane regulator must be fitted between the bottle and the gqas line going to the dryer.

This must be fitted by a licensed gas fitter ( plumber) so if any problems occur your insurance will pay out on fire or other faults.

Placing the propane bottle line directly to the dryer without a regulator and inside a building is dangerous and unlawful, as most dryers are not vented correctly to deal with propane.

I HAVE A AMANA FULL CAPACITY 7.1 DRYER THAT NEEDS A FITTING THAT HOOKS ON THE BACK OF THE DRYER INTO THE GAS LINE

If you are talking about the adapter between the flexible gas line and your dryer, your local hardware store will have it. I usually recommend that you take your flexible gas line with you so they can match up the correct size. The dryer gas pipe is standard. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

How can i split an existing gas line to hook up my dryer? I HAVE A GAS LINE THAT GOES TO MY WATER HEATER AND WOULD LIKE TO SPLIT IT OFF TO HOOK MY DRYER UP BUT CANT FIND A FITTING TO DO THAT

Just put a "TEE" into the line. Make sure you use "BLACK IRON" pipe fittings on gas lines. Galvanized will create problems and you will not only have leaks in the future, galvanized pipe in gas lines is a violation of almost every building code.

Compressor stops then leaks down to low setting

That little copper line is an unloading line, to bleed compressed air out of the compressor head so that the motor can more easily start the compressor. Pressor switch should be threadded into top of air tank, and the unloading valve is built into the side of the switch. When the tank reaches the high pressure setting the switch disconnects power to the motor and opens the unloading valve at the same time. The unloading valve should be connected to the compressor discharge line through a check valve with an unloading valve port upstream of the check valve. These valves are usually threaded into the top of the air tank as well. Sounds to me like your valve was leaking and someone bypassed it.

Whirlpool Imperial seventy dryer does not heat up

If there is a copper line feeding gas to it, PULL THE DRYER WAY FROM THE WALL AND TURN THE GAS OFF AT THE VALVE IMMEDIATELY!

Natural gas and copper do not mix, and the copper line will corrode from the inside out.

Now, on to the problem, it's very likely the timer has failed IF it does not rotate all the way through the drying cycle. If it does, and the clothes do not heat up, then reply back what you are experiencing and I will give you move help.
