This is a problem with the power supply unit and sounds like a hardware failure. Many times the capacitors go bad but it could be a Transistor that is weak and not working once the unit get's "warm" I recommend having a technician trouble shoot and repair the unit. In some cases you can find parts or a unit that is identical with a different problem on used electronics sites such as ebay. The unit will need the bad part identified by a tech and replaced. I am unaware of any menu items or service modes that will repair the issue. Hope that helps.

Dynex 32" tv picture goes black

If there is still about ? 24. Volts coming from the Power Board when it goes dark, it will be the Inverter board that needs replacing. If not, it is the Power Board that needs replacing. The Voltages should be written next to the sockets & plugs on the Power Board.

47in Phillips-tv picture goes black still has

Could be the signal board has a bad cap, in this case it sounds like you are getting intermitten power to the inverters....when the tv goes down and of course you have audio....Shine a flashlight on to screen and see if you have a picture...look carefully. If this is the case..you have the above problem!

Camera goes to sleep too quickly...is there a way to adjust?

To save battery power, the camera automatically goes into sleep mode and the monitor turns off if there is no operation after 3 minutes when the camera is turned on (when the lens cover is open and the monitor is on). No picture is taken even if the shutter button is fully pressed in this mode. Operate the zoom button or other buttons to restore the camera from sleep mode before taking a picture. If the camera is left on for 15 minutes, it automatically turns off (the lens cover closes and the monitor turns off). Press POWER to turn the camera on.

Picture stays on black

I had this same exact issue yesterday. I own the same TV model and here is what SONY had me do to get the picture back. Ultimately the picture comes back, but it will be very dim and needs repair. Most likely a power supply issue. Try these steps:

-Press power off or leave with standby light on for 5 minutes (wait the full 5 minutes)
-Unplug TV / Press top buttons 5 times each to remove static from system boards (yes, each button 5 times each)
-Wait one full minute and plug TV in and press power on
