Hi grady777I was reading over your post and there are some things you can do and I willhelp with the steps. The first thing you will want to do is make sure allconnections are hand tight from the back receiver to the wall, the receiverwill reacquire the signal and allow for the program guide to download and yourprogram should be playing. I will leave a link to help with these steps. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/complete-sig-loss

How to hook up Dish Network Receiver

which Dish Receiver do u have. if it is a Dual Tuner (322,625,622, 722) u run a RG6 Coax from the Dish to the back of the Receiver. on back of the receiver there should be two ports (Dish 1,, and Dish2) u will need two short pieces of coax and a Separator ,(which should have come with the Receiver. u hook the coax from the outside Dish to the single port of the Separator , now u run a coax (or RCA or what ever) to the TV. Turn on TV and Receiver.
on the Dish remote u hit the Menu button and hit #6 then #1 and #1 again (wait for each screen to change ) u should see a signal bar at the bottom. U will need to get someone to turn the dish a little at a time till u get a signal. once u get a strong signal u hit the Check Switch and let it program.

Hello, I have a sky dish and decoder, but before the decoder I have put a splitter and carried a seperate coax straight to another Freeview tv hoping to get a signal... But it hasnt. Is it possible to...

David.
Are you using the same output from the LNB on your sky dish?
ie one cable??.
If you are it will not work you need to use a seperate output,
if you cant do this, you will need to change the LNB to a multi output one.
By the way there is 30 volts present all the time from your receiver to your LNB, that is even while switched off.

Just moved my TV to a home with cable. It was hooked up to Dish network. there is no signal. Thank you.

We would be happy to help get your DISH Network signal back. The first thing we want to check is if there is anything blocking the signal toyour satellite dish like tree branches, severe cloud cover, or snow build-up.If it is safe to do so, remove the obstruction or wait for it to pass. If thatis not the case then reset your receiver by unplugging it for 10 seconds thenplugging it back in, the reset may take up to 5 minutes to finish (note: thereceiver's power plug usually has a red tag attached to it). At this point wewant to check the connection between your receiver and the outlet; please visitthis link and select the model receiver you are using to check the wiring ofyour receiver: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/setup-receiver-towall.Once you have check the connections perform a check switch test. Press the menubutton, then the numbers 6-1-1 on your DISH remote, this should take you to thepoint dish screen, select check switch on the right, then test on the bottom ofthe screen. Once the test is complete exit the menus and let the receiveracquire the signal (If Error 836 appears, do not save the matrix, cancelit and call our 24/7 customer support number listed below.). After all thesesteps if the receiver is still not getting the signal it should please give usa call on our 24/7 customer service line 1-800-333-DISH (3474) for additionaltroubleshooting.

We hope this gets your signal back. Thanks for choosing DISH Network!

No satellite signel - we were watching a program -

while ice can cause signal loss, there is a simple test to determine if there is an inline signal problem.

press MENU - 6 -1 - 1 and select check switch, then select test...

it will start at Testing 1 of 1.. then will change...

if it changes to 1 of 3 there is either something (ice) blocking the dish or the dish is no longer aligned.

if it goes to 1 of 38 the dish is no longer connected to your receiver.

My dish 322 receiver wont work 2 tv,to get service

  • There are two satellite inputs on the back of a 322. There may be a single cable going to a splitter connected to these two ports or two individual cables.
  • If there are two cables swap them, if you still get signal on the same input only then the receivers input is dead.Otherwise follow the bad cable and ensure it is not damaged or disconnected. Swap the location on the other end and see if the issue stays on the same cable. If so replace the cable, if not replace the LNB or Switch.
  • If there is a splitter bypass it and connect the single cable directly to the input that does not work. If there is no signal the port is bad, replace the receiver. If there is signal then reconnect the splitter, press menu 6-1-1, check switch, and then test. Allow the test to finish. If the two inputs do not match replace the splitter... Its called a DP Seperator

The Sky HD Box keeps losing the signal on every channel except terrestial 1, 2 3, 4 and 5. An error message comes up with 'no satellite signal being received' and codes 28 and 49 and to get the signal...

could be any of the following;

1 dish out of alignment (re-align dish),
2 faulty LNB (low noise block) on the dish (likely) replace
faulty box, even more likely

It won't aquire signal

You need a service call as there are to many possibilities that could cause this issue- bad diplexer, seperator, LNB, dish moved and is out of alignment, etc. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Problem jumps back and froth from tv1 to tv2

One of the inputs on the back of the 322 box is bad. usaly 1 wire runs from the dish into a seperator that splits the signal into 2 at the back of the box. you will need to call dish and have a new 322 sent out. 1-888-333-3474

Sat signal reaches only 1 cable outlet

you need to split the line at the receiver box. The signal from the Dish needs 18vdc to the receiver or you'll get NADA.. If I understand you correctly???

322 dual tuner-failure to receive signal only to one TV

If you have one cable leading from the wall toward the back of the receiver you can disconnect the seperator and diplexer (if equipped) from the SAT 1 and SAT 2 ports and connect the line from the wall directly to one of the ports and run a check switch test. You should get a 1 of 2-4 depending on lnb type on the tuner you connected the line to and a 1 of 38 on the other. Perform this operation for both SAT 1 AND SAT2 as described above. If you have the 1 of 38 appearing only on the port that the line is not connected to then the receiver is good and the problem may be the seperator which is the silver device that has two wires going to the back of the receiver initally and one port connected to the SAT port of a diplexer. Disconnect the diplexer and hook the seperator to the receiver and run the SAT line from the wall to the single port of the seperator and do a check switch. If you don't get a 1 of 38 it is good and you have a bad diplexer. If your system does not use diplexers and you are experiencing the loss on TV2 you may have a bad TV2port on the receiver. You can take the wire from the TV2 PORT(in home distribution system) and place it on the 3-4 that the TV1 line is run from. Then go to TV2 and put that tv on channel 3 and see if you have picture. If the problem is at TV1 reverse the process by connecting the line on the 3-4 ut to the TV2 port and putting TV1 on chanel 60 or 73 and see if you get picture. if either produces picture on the bad tv the port to that TV is faulty. If you were still unable to get picture it may be a cabling, connector, barrel isssue that requires a tech to visit. Hope this assists you. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
