Question about GE WBVH6240F Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Drain pump keeps running

The drain filter has been cleaned, the belt for the drum was replaced three weeks ago and is still tight. In Rinse and Spin cycle, the drum will fill with water, but not spin. I turn the power off and the drain pump kicks on to remove the water, once the drum is empty, the pump keeps on running. It appears the pump is causing vacuum inside the drum as I am unable to remove the drain filter while this is happening. I have to pull the drain hose that comes off the pump to relieve the vacuum from the system. The drain hose (underneath) is clear all the way to the drain pipe.

When I turn the power back on, the pump kicks back on immediately and won't shut off.

There are no error codes.

Timer, Pressure Switch, Gremlins?

This washer and dryer set has done nothing but break back and forth since the warranty ran out, I will never buy GE again.

F 02 code. washer won't drain properly

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display sud and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hello,
I trust that the drum can be turned by hand.It seems like the filter is blocked you will have to drain the water and remove the filter check that it is clean and the pump is free, with filter out put to spin or drain and see that the pump blade is spinning if not then something is jammed in pump try to free and then replace filter and check for leaks.Check also drain hose not kinked or drain blocked.Hope this helps.

Washing Machine wont drain as well as other problems!

Either the drain, filter, or screen is clogged somewhere. Check belts, pulley, agitator and tub bearings. Refere to this site for more info:

High speed drum rinse ..drum not spinning during rinse cycle

Clean out coin collector thoroughly. Replace drain pump if necessary. Water will drain if you can place drain hose on floor and let water siphon out.

Not spinning

The belt is located in the back of the machine
You have to remove the top of the machine and then remove tha back cover. then you can see where the belt is, you will need some tools to replace the belt a socket or wrench us needed to adjust the motor pulley position so that you can get the new belt in place then you need to move it back to tighten the belt so it wont slip. its not a difficult job just make sure its disconnected from the power when you do it

Spins very slow on rinse/drain and spin

Your filter &/or pump could be blocked. Remove bottom panel three screws, unscrew filter cap (have lots of towels cause it will drain), remove filter & clean out. Refit. If you have manual refer to it. Pl rate me if helped.
