Absolutely the same problem. And I can't open a tray with disk inside. Every time pushing "Open" button, I receive a message "No disk".

Hello Everyone,
All you have are common problems anywhere. Make sure DVD discs are not pirated or not digitally copied. Most players like DVDs are quite sensitive. Most likely, laser lens are dirty or covered with dust. The best way to eliminate the problem is to clean your lens by using disc cleaner available in the market somehow. Drop a small amount of solution on the little brush adhered at the disc itself, load the disc into the tray, like a normal you play and push the botton PLAY , Some cleaner has an audio or video , so that you will be know the operation or further instructions.
Hope this will help solve the problem... Good luck.

I have the open tray error...Warranty expired,so i figured i'll take out the dvd drive (benq).. Take the cover off and adjust the left pot screw just a hair to the left..Now i can hear the disc spin and it...

Inspect and clean your disc Take a close look at the bottom side of your game, movie, or music disc (the side without a label or image). Are there scratches? Excessive scratches or smudges can prevent your console from reading the disc. Clean your disc Hold the disc by the edges without touching the top or bottom surfaces. Using a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth, lightly wipe from the center of the disc outward.
  • Note Use ONLY water to clean the disc.
  • Once the disc is clean, load the disc into your console and see if the disc plays.

Says loading disc then no disc pops up and it just won't play. Tried the phillips lense cleaner still does same message (loading the no disc)

The reason the player keeps loading and showing no disc is simply because the lens of the player is weak.

    To fix this,

    1. Open the cover of the player with the appropriate screwdriver,
    2. Open the disc tray, you will see the lens, like a crystal or diamond like object,
    3. Replace the lens by removing it with the mechanism that supports it and fixing the new lens,
    4. Test it with a DVD disc.
    5. Cover the player back.
    Take care

Dvd player trys to read disc but stops with a HO7 message, worked fine last night, but we did put a dvd in to watch but something came on the tv we wanted to watch and didn't turn off dvd

This is a motor problem. Here is what to do to put it right.

Open the disc tray and switch off the power, then remove the lid off the player. Locate the disc motor and where the spindle goes through the motor put a little WD40 or light oil (but not too much) or it will get messy.

Turn the disc motor a few times yourself and let the lubricant soak in. Leave it for about 30 minutes then try it again - and it should work.

This works in a number of cases, though I can't guarantee it will work for you. TRY IT! (:-)

    1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.
    2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner
    3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
    In this case Repeat 29334
    4) When it works a 1 will appear in the top left corner
    5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
    6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
    7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.
    8) Power the unit off
    9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.

Can't get "Netflix" disc out of Player unit - remote or by pushing thebuttons on the unit.

You must take off the top of the unit and remove the disc from dvd tray. Take out the screws from the unit holding the top cover on and check the dvd tray for obstructions.if you find none then try to gently move the tray forward through the door and get you dvd movie out. Then check the mechanism for faults such as clogged gears or a broken belt or bad guide rails. You sholud see some problem in the disc carriage area.Try to repair it and test the unit with the cover off, so you can see if the fault is mechanical or electronic. If it is electronic they you should check the circuit boards for bad connections. You may find a bad wire connector or something loose. If all this fails to reactivate the dvd, then take it in to a service center and have them check it out for you. Hope this helps you with your problem.

How to change region codes from only 4 to 2 & 4

    1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
    2) Press the Open/Close button to open the tray
    3) Press the info button, the firmware version shows up (mine was 080220.13.B.1080PXKEG)
    4) After the version info disappears, close the tray again by pressing the Open/Close button
    5) At this point, it will show "no disc" at the top. Press the Info button again, and this will disappear.
    6) Now type the code that applies for your region (R4 is 76884). A '4' will briefly show up at the top left corner
    7) Now press 9, and 9 will show up in the top left corner
    8) Power off the player, and turn it on again. You'll have a multi region player
