Ryobi recommends a 50:1 mixture 2.6 0oz oil to 1 gal of gas...it will run on 32:1 mixture that djcarmon recommends, but you will have a lot more fuel and oil related problems (gumming of carb, stopped up arrestor screens in muffler, and generally messy I have found). I run only premium gas (93 or better octane) and either optimoil or pennzoil 2 cycle oil with great results at a ratio of 45:1... 2.8oz of oil to 1 gal gas...with a little Stabil fuel stabilizer thrown in for good measure....very few if any carb problems ( I clean and check my carb every spring before start up) and good engine life...run my ol' Ryobi for five years now and other than replacing fuel filters once a year (which I do religiously as maintenance)and an occaisional fuel line have had very few problems...takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'...to each his own...but this works for me !!! hope this helps.
