I'm not sure why that drain hole is located where it is - but in any case - you're going to have to plug the existing hole and re-drill another drain hole at the back of the unit.

I would plug the unwanted hole with a 'liquid steel material,' i.e. JB Weld or something similar.

Note: be careful when re-drilling the new drain hole and don't drill a hole in your condenser.

good luck!

The water drainage hole on my fridigaire ac is only 2 inches from the front of the unit, thereby sitting on the sill itself and pouring water onto my sill and down the inside of the wall. Is this a...

Sounds like a defect to me or a hole has rusted through the condensation pan.Generally, all drain holes are at the rear of the pan. That's why the rear of the unit is supposed to tiled down 1/4" to 1/2". That way, the water flows to the rear of the pan.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Where is the drain hole on my frederich quietmaster wall air conditioner?

Hello, if there is no drain hole under the unit then it uses the fan blade to sling water on the condenser to evaporate the condensate. Some window units are made this way instaed of using a drain hole.

Need to know if I can connect a drain hose/tube to my air conditioner model # FAX054-P7A1. I'm having a problem with water collecting in the window sill/track

Hello, the first thing is make sure the AC is tilted a bit in the window, if it is level the water will collect toward the front of the unit and drip inside. Second if there is a drain hole on tne unit then you can connect a hose to it and let it drain. However if there is no drain hole then the unit uses tne fan blade to splash the water on the condenser and since the condenser is warm/hot it will condense the water.

Drainage occurs near the front of the unit, resulting in pools of water leaking onto my window sill. Unit is installed properly, there is no drain hole to direct water away from the insides of the walls...

The A/C unit should be tilted slightly to the rear and this will allow the water to leak to the outside of the window, you may have to drill a small hole in the case to drain if there is no pre-existing hole.

THE DRAIN HOLE FOR MY FRIDGIDAIRE AIR CONDITIONER IS IN THE WINDOW SILL, WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE WATER ?

You will have to remove the unit fro the window, and take it outside and remove the cover, unless the sheel remains in the window, and use a water hose to clean all the debris out and clear the drain, this really needs to be done every year, also, make sure the tilt on the unit is enough for the water to drain outside, not in,if this was at all helpful, please rate thank you.
