The first thing that you want to ensure is that the phone is not near any
major electronics or appliances. Make sure that the phone is not tied in with a
computer, fax, remote answering machine, splitter or caller id box. Try pressing
the channel button on the handset (if applicable to your product).

On DCT models turn clarity boost on. Make sure base unit antenna is in an
upright position (if applicable to your product). If your handset does not have
an antenna then make sure you are not holding the phone to where you are
covering the internal antenna. Try moving the phone to a different phone jack
    and outlet.

If you have any other cordless phones in your home, try unplugging all of the
phones except for the Uniden and see if there is a difference.

Finally, if you have computer accessories such as DSL, Wireless Network or
Router, they could interfere with the phone as well.

Try the following:

1) Make sure there are no electronics close by that may cause interference such as computer, radio, microwave, wireless router, etc.

2) You can also try changing the channel on the phone to see if that helps clear up the signal

3)Reset the phone - if you want to try this and do not know how send the exact model # and I can get you the info.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

To my knowledge, this is a design fault of most 5.8GHz phone. This is due to the relatively high frequency it uses which makes the range a little bit smaller compared to other phones. Thus said, (limited range) moving away from the base increases interference and hences the static/crackling noise. Most 900MHz phone are better with cleaner/clearer audio. Sorry.

The solution would be to operate the handset pretty near the base. Some other appliances/electrical/electronic devices can cause interference.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I have lost my manual and i dont know how to record a personal message on my answering machine and how to enter the code to retrieve my messages from another phone.

From your handset, you just have to press the mute button, your phone should start telling you the time, date, ect. press the #5 key and then the #8 key and start recording your message. When finished press the # 8 key again. Hope this helps

Crackling noise on phone

If your phone is wireless this may help. Had my wireless voicebox set up near electrical equipment and controls for the airconditioning unit and had crackling noises on the phone. When I relocated the voicebox to the other side of the room and connected to the electricity without other equipment connected, it is now very clear.

Crackling static noise on calls

Make sure that there is no fault inthe connection from the line terminals. If both the sets have the same noise connect a base phone and test the line as it can be from the telphone line itself producing the static from the nearest junction or cable line.
If not the base phone input section may have errors.

It could be the phone. It cound also be the line. You could either purchace or borrow another phone to see if the static is still there. If it is then itsa probabily a telephone company issue.

Uniden 3315 Frequency Problem

Your phone has Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT), known as Digital European Cordless Telephone[1] until 1995, The digital filters will prevent interference from the bandwidths used by phones and wi-fi.
Your phone also incorporates dynamic channel allocation which switches frequencies when noise(static) is encountered.
Eventually your conversations take a wire route down the road. You are getting some "cross talk", an actual scientific term used to describe signal transmission from one line parallel to another by magnetic eddy currents. I would call the phone company and have them trace the problem.
