The float and needle seat need to be changed or cleaned. I usually replace them, it's cheaper to replace than to fool with cleaning it. The fuel bowl should be cleaned as well.

My cordless mower stopped working...

I would guess that it melted the switch for sure. At least that would need to be replaced if no further damage was caused (like to the wiring for instance).

Hi.
Check the blade... it is bent and causes a vibration. if it is not the blade then the motor shaft is bent and that is terminal...if that happened then the mower is junk...

I have a Cub Cadet 1250. The PTO suddenly stopped

Look at www.cubcadet.com. There under parts you should find an IPL for your mower. You will need the model and serial number from under the seat to get the information. Look under the electrical for PTO.

When you bypassed the switch what did you connect the wire to.
This is an earth wire, keep it loose and see if the engine will start, if it will,
touch the wire against the engine and it will stop. Stephen

Mower will not start

Did you hit something solid, like a kerb or a tree root?. If you did and the engine stopped suddenly
it is possible that you sheared the flywheel key
and the ignition timeing is out. You must remove
the cover and flywheel and check and renew key.
