I have the same problem. After moving the printer (just for a short time from the desk for cleaning it) I have to remove and check the color cartridge. It is not the first time. Now I am owner of one not-correct nearly full cartridge and two as well nearly full remove-and-check cartridges. I really don't want buy a new cartridge each time after moving the printer.
    Any (English) suggestions???

Color cartridges not working

Without knowning the excat model of the ink cart. It is hard to say but maybe this will help. what I usually do with my hp carts is rubbing alcohol (50/50 solution mixed with water) and an old cloth or a very good tissue and wipe the head of the cart down (gently) this sometimes works and sometimes its does not. be careful cause this can also damage the cart and make it not work more than it is currently working. But since its not working now anyways. What do you have to lose :)
Steven.
Hope this helps let me know if it does :)

Incorrect color cart error message after refill v40xi #78

There is something wrong with the electronics on your cartridge. Sounds like wherever you got it refilled didn't electronically test the cartridge to make sure it would function in your printer. You need to return the refilled cartridge either for your money back or a new refill.

Printer tells me to install new color cart. after i have put in new hp cart.

Hi,

1. Press the Setup button.
  1. Use the arrow keys to select Tools and then press the OK button.
  2. Select Clean Print Cartridge and then press OK . The device prints a test page.
  3. Examine the test page. If the print quality of the page is good, stop here. If the print quality is bad, go on to the next step for further cleaning.
  4. Open the Printer Toolbox . There are two ways to do this:
    • Open HP Director , select the Settings menu, then the Print Settings submenu, and finally the Printer Toolbox .
    • If the HP Director method does not work, open Printers and Faxes in the Windows Control Panel , then right-click your printer icon and choose Properties . Click on Printing Preferences . Click the Services tab, then the Service This Device icon.
  5. The Printer Toolbox opens. On the Device Services tab, click Clean the Print Cartridges , then follow the on-screen instructions. Up to three levels of cleaning are available. Discard or recycle the page that prints.
  6. Remove and re-insert, while the product is switched on.
If still bad, swap out the cartridge.

Hope this helps
Regards

The printer doesn't recognize the new original HP color cartridge

There is a small spring that holds the ink cartridge in the ink holder. You will see it stick out from the right hand side of the ink holder where the ink cartridge slides in. If that spring isn't being held to the ink holder by two plastic tabs, (I.E. the plastic tabs are broken) the printer will never recognize the cartridge. If the printer is still under warranty I would contact HP or an authorized repair center for HP. Both the black and color ink holder has this spring. I know of no way to repair this kind of breakage.

Cannot print in color on HP OfficeJet 9110 All-in-One

Nothing to do with the driver, I'd say the cartridges are your problem, skipping lines and missing colour are indications of needing new ink carts, are carts new HP ones?
