The control should flash this error code if it cannot detect the lid switch opening and closing properly.
This error code may also be used if there is a disagreement between the motor and machine controllers on the state of the lid switch.

The control should not allow the unit to run in this condition. This code will also appear if the user presses the START key while the lid is open.

Open the lid or press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display

L5 show in display and won't work in calypso washer

ss13679,
I believe your code is actually 'LS'. This codes shows up when the controller cannot detect the lid switch opening and closing properly. This error code may also be used if there is a diagreement between the motor and machine controllers on the state of the lid switch. The control should not allow the unit to run in this condition. This code will also appear if you press the start key while the lid is open. Open the lid or press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

Your lid switch may be bad. Click here for some help. Also it looks lik this: click here

Hope this helps. Please give me a vote!

L5 flashing on my calypso washer

.
The error code is actually a LS not L5, it stands for a lid switch error, it could be a bad lid switch or you may have forgotten you had a previous load in and went to rewash and went and started the machine without opening the lid which automatically throws an LS error.so check the lid switch .hope helps p-ls appreciate by rating as fixyaa
