I just bought a zune mp3 32 GB model 1402 at a pawn shop. It had music on it when I bought it. I plugged it into my car stereo right away. Later on, a few hours ago, zune just went black and it states...

Does device manager recognize it as anything? Even some generic name like "usb composite device" or something like that? Or does it say Zune or something else?

Bought an Ipod Classic at pawn shop with no software or manual. Cannot get it to work. Apple website not helping.

basicly, i think if you can go onto google and randomly search soemthing it will come up. but all you really need is i-tunes (or windows media player, or anyother music site that wroks), a USB cord, and some music, CDs, or i-tunes music,. If you choose itunes, you most likely can figure it out by your self, just go to music store, (with a music card of any amount) and click on right side it will say 'redeem'. click this and when you plug it in, you can go to your music, and say apply or something at the bottom. if this doesn't help, sorry. i hope it does!

Missing, wanted applications

Your screwed cause the applications are erased and replaced with all the **** you got on your computer when you first connected the thing.  There are free utilities that will allow you to reverse sync the data (from ipod to computer instead of from computer to ipod), but your supposed to do that first.
Now you got to pay like everyone else and contribute to Steve Job's medical bills.  Although, some of the applications were probably free, so you can just re-download them.

Bought ipod from pawn shop

the Ipod once you hook it up to the computer becomes like an external hard drive. hook it up go into my computer look for what looks like a new drive then open it up. once you do that go to edit select all then go down to delete click on it. it should get rid of all the files that are there. to put new ones on the ipod find the songs that you want and drag and drop them in the ipod drive.

Pawn shop deal

the iriver series by default is not detected as a usb drive. iriver music manager is needed to transfer files. After a firmware upgrade, the device is usable as a usb hard drive. But you need the music manager software to upgrade

Pawn shop deal went south

iriver.com has all the software availble to make it work on your p.c. Go to the website and search ifp-795. Download and install the software, you should be fine. You might be prompt in the instalation process... remember "install or continue anyway" good luck.
