Hello there!

When did this problem started?

Have you already tried to troubleshoot the issue?

Here are some useful steps you can try:

try to power cycle the printer for about 2 mins. then try a test print with just single paper

Make sure that the paper is aligned properly.

You can also check if there's any foreign object stuck inside the printer

If you are able to reach the paper roller on the printer, try cleaning it.

Lastly turn off you printer, try to lift your printer up, put it in an upside down position
then shake it from left to right for about a min. then turn the printer on again
try a test print.

If none of this steps resolved the problem
then the issue is with the printer itself.

Hope this helps.

My HP Laser Jet 4730 is not feeding back through the Duplexer causing paper Jam in side top right panel.

There is a known issue with this series and what happens is that the paper exit flag sags from the heat of the fuser and interferes with the paper path. One small $10 dollar part but you have to take a lot of parts out to get to it. You can see this flag if you open the front drawer where you remove duplex jams, it is right behind the duplexer.

Paper jams in the feeder on the left side , tried to opentop cover does not allow me to open back. how do I GET THE ROLLER from curling the paper?

One reason for paper jams is due to some obstructions in the paper path. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Grab a flashlight and look into the paper feeder. Clear the feeder from any foreign objects or debris that could cause "curling" of the paper. If feeder is clear, open the printer cover and ensure the paper path is clear in the cartridge area.
Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, try to print again. If problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

Paper jam

You are receiving this error message because there is a paper jam or the top (photo) tray is not securely in position and the printer cannot initialize. This error message can appear for an ESP 7, ESP 9, ESP 7250, or ESP 9250 all-in-one printer.
To resolve a paper jam, we have an easy Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair tool. Within the tool, select All-in-one printer, then Paper jam.

When you clear the paper jam:
  1. Make sure you open the paper output tray and inspect the top tray for photo paper that could be jammed inside or that remains in the nip at the entrance.
  2. Pull out the bottom paper tray and clear any paper jams.
  3. Remove the duplexer from the back of the printer and clear any paper jam.
NOTE: Curled photo paper could induce a paper jam. To prevent curling:
  • Store un-printed paper in a tightly closed plastic bag or in its original packaging.
  • Store sealed packages of paper flat, and not on
  • When you are ready to print, take only the paper intend to use immediately.
To remove curl in photo paper:
  1. Place the paper in a plastic bag or in its original packaging.
  2. Gently bend the paper in the opposite direction of the curl, then insert it into a tube-a paper towel tube works well.

NOTE: The tube should be larger than 1.5 in. (4 cm) in diameter.
  3. After a few minutes, remove the paper from the tube.
  4. Remove the paper from the plastic bag or packaging.
  5. Verify that the curl has been removed from the paper. Repeat the steps above if necessary.
If the top paper tray is not securely in position and the printer cannot initialize (you may hear a grinding noise, and the top paper tray will not open), contact Kodak.

WILL FEED PLAIN WHITE PAPER BUT WILL NOT FEED PHOTO PAPER

Follow the steps:
•1
Turn on the printer and press the Paper Feed switch until the Auto Sheet Feeder indicator light turns on.
•2
Pull up on the paper sheet feeder on the top and back of the printer and slide out the paper support.
•3
Take a stack of no more than 10 pieces of photo paper and flatten the corners, if they are curled. Curled corners may cause jams within the printer.
•4
Place the paper in the paper sheet feeder with the printable side of the paper facing up. The printable side of photo paper is the shiny or whiter side of the paper.
•5
Print your documents as needed.

Paper Cassette :

•1
Switch on the printer and press the Paper Feed switch until the Cassette indicator light turns on.
•2
Pull on the cassette on the bottom of the printer to slide it out of the printer.
•3
Flatten the corners of a stack of no more than 10 sheets of photo paper if the corners are curled. The paper may become jammed in the printer if the corners are curled.
•4
Place the stack of paper in the cassette so the paper is touching the right side and the printing side of the paper is facing down. Adjust the plastic paper guides so they touch the paper. The paper stack guides help facilitate the paper moving into the printer.
•5
Slide the cassette back into the bottom of the printer. The printer is ready for printing.

I have printed all odd # pages from a document, but my HP Laserjet 4 won't feed these pages back through to print on the blank side with even # pages. I've tried to keep the front (feeding edge) of papers...

You need to try a thicker paper, Heavier stock to double print the page. Slightly more expensive. Recycled paper typically will not work for this type of function. I had this same problem and found this was the only solution.

Make sure the photo paper is not curling when it goes in. I had same problem before, with paper jam error even though the photo paper did not appear jammed. I noticed the photo paper was slightly curled, so I flattened it out and that solved my problem. Also, if you are loading multiple sheets at one time, try just loading one sheet and see if that fixes it.

I have taken the toner and the drum out to find a paper jam and could not find anything. I even turned the printer "off" and "on" and the "paper jam" light stays on. What can we do?

Curled corner causing a paper jam

Try replacing all paper. Sometimes paper that is overly humid or has gotten wet will curl. Replace with new paper and report results.
