Question about Canon PC-921 Black and White Copier

1 Answer

Roller stuck I shut off the copier while it was started. I then couldn't get the paper tray back in. I finally did and now when I try to run a copy it makes a loud clicking noise- seems like 1 of the rollers may be stuck? Suggestions PLEASE

You may have simply just dislodged the feed assembly, remove your tray and inspect the under carriage, its a start and see for anything out of place...

Obstructed copy

Typically when labels come off the paper, the get stuck on the Fuser (the heating rollers just as the paper exits the machine) Open up the printer and turn the round hand that you would clear a jam with, and look on the roller to see if they are stuck there.

They are also known to get stuck in the paper tray or pickup assembly. Follow the paper path through the machine and you will find them.

Good Luck

You should first have a check over the roller . Mostly the problem will be the roller only .

But let me know how old is your copier ?

Depending on it we can solve your problem .

I have a Canon PC 980 B&W copier. When I try to print, the "P" (no paper) light comes on, even thoug the paper tray is full.n

YOur problem is likely worn feed rubber. It is an old machine. Has it ever been serviced?
Did this happen after a paper jam?
Try this: UNPLUG the copier Take out the paper tray. Prepare a dry cloth that is dampened with WD 40. Open the door on the right side of the coper. You should see 1 large, gray or black rubber roller. Gently wipe the roller with the WD 40 cloth, slowly turning the roller. It only turns 1 way, towards the exit direction of the paper from the copier.

Let the WD 40 soak in, about 10 minutes. Put the paper tray back in, plug the copier back in and try to make a copy. If it makes a copy, the feed roller needs replaced, If it doesn't make a copy, check the top sheet of paper in the tray. If you see skid marks, you definitely need a feed roller. No, they are not easy to change.

As long as the roller feeds, go for it. When it starts slipping then you'll have to do something about that feed roller.

E2 error code on Xerox work centre xd series 120f copier

e2 is a paper jam problem. check that the paper guides in the cassette are positioned aginst the paper properly. Also remove the toner and drum cartridge. Clean all rubber rollers that you can get to with a damp cloth ( water). You are especially trying to clean the upper and lower registration rollers that "pinch" the paper. I hope that this helps.

Pc920 won't make copies

the noise could be the heat rollers have squared of this happens if the machine hasnt been used for a while the pressure makes a flat on the soft roller.. it cold also be the toner cartridge has settled. take it out and give it a good shake.. if you cansee if the scanner lamp and carriadge is moving when you run the copier up it mighht be saveable.. make sure the paper is new and dry as this can cause jams in hot section.. if you can see where the paper jam is when you do one copy check the guides as well and finally take the paper tray out and look at the condition of the rollers that feed the paper as they may be dirty and sliping the paper..Good Luck A

I have xerox workcentre xd105f, can't make copies, paper jamed and letter P on display

to remedy the P display error remove the paper tray and take any paper from under the tray and between the rollers, clean the rollers with alcohol or an acetone solution to remove paper dust and paper debris, refit the paper tray with the paper pushed below the tabs on the tray ensuring that the correct paper size is shown, IE: ltr ltr-r etc.
power the unit off and on and you should be back in business.

If this remedies the problem please rate the solution accordingly

thanks

Not working

Pull out the tray with paper.
You should find a moving plastic "tongue" near the middle of width in the area where your paper tray should go. It's a contact based flag for the device to consider how much paper is in the tray. Check if it's not broken or stuck in odd position. Move it back and forth several times, with no force, it goes very easily. When you lift the flag up, see message and blinking led stop appearing. Try to pull paper tray back in, add paper if error appears again. Enjoy!
