Why when wireless printing using same hardware worked fine, now not responding.

Unless it is the EXACT same wireless router from your service provider it could be the router. I mean that if you have moved and your provider gave you another router (same make and model) then it could be the wireless router. I struggled with this myself and after having the provider change the router, the problem disappeared immediately with the printer connection. The problem was only with the printer (HP in this case) as other wireless devices worked okay. Strange but true.

I can't remember my passwoed for my d-link router

Hi,
You will have to reset it to a new one by using a hardware reset option at the back of router. Put in IP address of router in to your browser. Then it shall ask you for ID and password. Enter `Admin` or `admin` as ID and `Password` or `password` as password. You will see a web based setup opened in front of you. Go to the Wireless Lan settings and then you will SSID so change the SSID and this would be your network`s name. Then go to subsection security and select WPA2-PSK or simple WPA-PSK then enter your desired network key. Once done with all these things the click apply and reboot if prompted.
Good Luck

D-Link wireless router forgot password how may I recover or assign a new one

Hi there,

A wireless router password wont be recovered unless you still have the password you can enter or if the router is unmanaged without an admin password.

another option would be resetting your router to be able to get through the router and assign a new password.

here's how: you need to directly connect your computer or laptop wired going to your router not using a wireless one. then reset, make a new network configuration and put your admin password later. dont forget to backup your router config. in a folder together with your password so the nextime you forgot any thing or change anything. just look back to your folder where you put your backup config. and password.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. My internet connection via the router (d-link DI-524) have slowed down. how do i reset settings or put a password?

Maybe you have an open WiFi (no password wireless) and anyboby near can connect to your router and download files, this can slow down your Internet connection. To put a password to your wireless network, enter setup preferably by a wired connection to router, in your browser type the default IP address of it (http://192.168.0.1), the user is admin and its password must be left blank (default settings), at the Home tab go directly to Wireless option since you'll only change your WiFi from unsecure to secure, there you can choose the security type, WPA is recommended, after select it you can put the new Key (password) of your WiFi, and finally apply to get changes working, just remember that after this procedure, you'll have to enter the password in each new wireless connection to your router.
