Question about Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel 904346-0403 Trackball
The arrow cursor will "freeze" AFTER I return to the computer and start it out of the sleep mode. I can get the cursor to start moving again by unplugging it from the USB port and replugging it. While the cursor is in the working mode, it does not freeze up. It only freezes up after I've put the computer in the sleep mode and then start up again. I am using this mouse on a newly purchased IMAC.....Gene

SOURCE: Mouse stops responding randomly
The issue may not necessarily be with the mouse. Are you able to use the keyboard once the mouse freezes? If you not even able to use the keyboard, there is some application installed on your computer or a virus due to which the mouse freezes. If, in case, the keyboard works even though the mouse is stuck, try changing the USB port or try a different mouse. Please revert back with any other observations. Good Luck

SOURCE: No Cursor
Did you register the mouse to the receiver? There should be a button on the receiver, the bottom of the mouse or both used to connect the wireless mouse to the receiver. Also, if you do not have a red light on the bottom of your mouse it may have a battery problem.

I found no solution but plenty of similar complaints on the V270 on other than just Vista machines. I will suggest finding another model mouse and check it for Vista compatibility before buying.
I am using a Logitech M-RBB_DEL4 mouse made for Dell, it's bluetooth and works flawlessly on my XP machine along with the keyboard it came with. I will try the one I just ordered on my Vista machine when the BT Keyboard and Mouse arrive.
