Question about Hunter 27185 Remote Control

1 Answer

The battery attachment for the 9V battery broke. One of the clips that attaches to the battery broke off when I was trying to take the battery out to replace it. Is there a way to add a new 9V battery attachment without buying a new remote?

If you are a bit handy, you can by replacement 9v packs/adapters that you can solder or wire nut on. Depending on what type of remote you have, it might be more economical to by a new one. the packs are ready available on eBay.

Driver's side wiper not working

The wiper arms are attached to the wiper motor by clips. If the drivers side clip came undone then the wiper arm could possibly fall off the motor. Some wiper arms are attached as a duet with 1 clip. In this case the arm broke off the mounting plate and the entire assembly needs to be changed.

These parts, for some reason, are called wiper transmissions. You can web search the part by that name on the internet. You will probably find good photos to show how they are made. You may just need to replace the clip which also can be researched on the internet.

Replace door handle

You must be talking about the door handle itself. The rod connects the door handle to the door latch. The plastic clip when snapped onto the rod will keep the rod from coming out of the hole in the door handle where it attaches. Is it the handle that is broke or the clip?

Have a 2003 chevey 2500hd i was going down the road and they truck died but everything on the instrament pannel is working but the batery is only reading 9v and when u turn they key everthing goes off...

If you see 9v on the dash gauge, verify that with a volt meter attached directly to the battery itself. If that also shows 9v then re-charge the battery. It doesn't take a lot of voltage to operate the dash, interior lights etc but at 9v the ignition system and starter cannot operate. If it starts after charging, immediately check output voltage of the alternator. Your meter should read somewhere near 13.5 volts with the engine running and should not drop off substantially with all accessories turned on. if that looks good, have the battery load tested (many parts stores do that free) to make sure it's good. I'd also check the drive belt for good tension. If it's old, worn or slipping, replace it. If it seems loose, check that the tensioner is working. If you can press down on the belt and the tensioner moves easily it may be worn out.
Anything you don't understand, ask and I'll try to help you with that.

  5. Remove the wiper linkage clip from the motor output arm.
  6. Disconnect the wiper motor's wiring connector.

1995 Beretta: The passenger side door handle broke while opening...

it is an easy fix! there are 4 screws needing to come off the door to gain access to the interior. once in you will need to release a clip and also remove a bar from either an orange or black clip....once these are removed, you put in the new door handle, attach the clips back on, attach the screws and you are ready to go!

Driver side window not going up fully on my Audi A4 Cabriolet 2002, it eventually will go up by pressing the button gently. Sounds like a cable breaking or broke, but if so how is the window still able to...

There really is no cable. The power window runs on tracks inside the door, which is attached to a motor which is also inside the door. It's very tough to get to to fix it, lots of screws and you would need to take the door panel off. It's not something I even try to fix myself, and I consider myself very mechanically inclined. I have replaced a window motor once, and took a large chunk of meat and skin out of my finger in the process. Hope it helps. If you want to try fixing it yourself just know, it's VERY complicated.

Horizontal lines running on screen

There are some transistors attached to heatsinks (small heatsinks) on the left portion of the chassis. this board that has the input board attached to it is the signal board. those transistors are regulators they are labled 7809 or 7805 depeding if they are 9 or 5 volt regulators. use a multimeter to determine if one pin has 9v (or 5v) coming from it. if not this is your problem. i see alot 9v regulators going bad, some take the cap attached to the 3rd leg with it so check that too. if this sounds overwhelming it might be a job for a repair tech.
