My wireless won't connect to the internet. The switch is on. The laptop can connect when I use a cable.

Try downloading the latest drivers from Toshibas site
If that fails, open the base of the laptop (should be a cover there), check that the wireless card is installed and the two wires that attach on push posts are present and attached. One is black (main) the other white (aux).

In device manager, check that the wireless hardware is detected, if it is not seen and the card is presnt and connected, the wireless controller has failed, or the card itself is damaged and will need replacing.

Where is the wireless antenna on a Latitude D610? I can't get the wireless internet option to work, and my computer suggested it could be the antenna.

Hello there,
There is actually no antenna. What you need to do is to turn on the wireless capabilities using the switch. All you have to do is to press the Fn key + the F2 key.
Good luck! Let me know if you have further questions.

While replacing the LCD screen on a cq60, I removed two plugs from the LAN card. What are they connected to? I lost them.

These plugs are connected to a black and a white (tan) wire. These wires lead through the hinges of the screen assembly and attach to metal clips at the top of the display under the bezel. These are the wireless antenna leads. The card itself will have the words main and aux. on it along with a small triangle that is either black or white, this is color coded to the proper wire at its connection.

Access for the wireless card is under the access door for the hard drive. The guide below is for both wireless "B" and "G" cards which have two wires. It also has the reattachment guide for wireless "N" cards that have three wires. The attachment guide is below for proper lead placement. a link below wil take you to the service manual for this laptop, the numbers for illustrations match the repair manual.

I need schematic to replace lcd screen on gateway M305 crv.

Typically they are the antenna wires for wireless card.
If you look to see where wireless card is that will be your answer as to where to run them one is for main the other aux. If not connected they do not affect your screen.
Please rate this fixya.

Thanks

Wirless card for a laptop ?what wire goes to tha main - white or black?

The white or gray wire goes to MAIN and the black wire goes to AUX. For some reason no one can ever fully answer that question or they close the forum because it is old but when googled these questions still are valid and need to be available even today.

Internal wireless card

Hi Beast - If it's PCMCIA it's the slot closet to the front on the left. If it's USB it's the slot closest to the left on the back or closest to the top on the back left ( not the lock slot). Your pc should have ConfigFree so your pc will find it. If this answered your question PLEASE rate this as fixed. IF NOT DON'T RATE YET. Just add a comment letting me know what's going on and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.
