Question about Vizio L32 32 in. LCD HDTV
The yellow light comes on, but the set will not go on and no green light. Tried unplugging and holding down the "start" button for one minute, as advised by Vizio, but did not work. Set is 4 1/2 years old.
It started to go off and then on within ten seconds last week and then failed to come on at all this morning. Is it worth repairing?
I have seen this many times. The tv most likely has run its course. It could be the power supply or a lamp. Sounds more like a lamp, as you still have lights on your set. check around and get some prices on a lamp. you can have a local shop install it for you. or just replace the set.

Insignia 32in flatscreen tv with dvd built in won't power on. plugging in cable results in "no signal" Doesn't recognize digital cable box. This tv is only 16 month old of course the warranty was 12 months. What is wrong? I've heard a defective lamp can cause this. Really? a lamp?
