Question about HTC Touch HD Smartphone

1 Answer

I have installed two email addresses on my HTC HD2 (not Outlook), and the download settings are to go and pick up email every 30 minutes. It never does for either, I always have to prompt with a manual send/receive. The data connection in Setting/Wireless Controls often switches itself off for no reason and with no warning. Perhaps that is why the regular email pick up does not work. Occasionally the entire inbox deletes itself. FOrtunately I can refill it, as the host server keeps 30 days of emails. But why does it do this? None of the emails I sent seem to be retained in the sent folder, even though I have set it to do that. The Bluetooth does not work with my car. ALtho9ugh the connection is established, and the address book downloaded, I cannot make calls with the car controls, nor does the voice come throught he car loudspeaker. I cannot see what to do to make it work. It is the factory installed bluetooth phone system by Volvo, and it worked perfectly well with my BlackBerry. Generally, the HTC is unstable, volatile, and unpredictable. I am on the verge of giving it up, but I want to give it one last chance. Help!!!

Based on your statement, I could see that there's a problem in the software of the phone. The software could be corrupted or it's not properly configured. HTC will not put an option that is not gonna work.

Regarding on automatic deletion of your emails from your phone's inbox, there could be a settings on your HD2 that will automatically delete the emails after certain number of days. You need to find that settings or disable it. Another possible cause of automatic email deletion, is if your email account has been setup as a POP account on two different email clients (i.e. phone, Outlook). Same for the sent items, refer to the user manual and check if there's any settings that will allow you to leave a copy of sent messages.

If there are settings found, but it's not working, then, HTC should re-flash the firmware of your phone. It's a BUG that needs to get fixed. The Bluetooth is also affected by this issue.

I would suggest to contact HTC and verify if they have reported issues regarding this. I've been dealing with different hand held devices, and most of their problems can be fixed by flashing the firmware or by upgrading it.

Thank you and good luck!

Rom upgradation completely erase the personal data and the customized settingsor any installed programs in the

Cannot configure htc hd2 cannot get corporate email nor will it play flash video

You can configure email on HTC to get your corporate emails. You will need your emailaddress, password to logon, smtp and pop3 settings. Unfortunately flash video is not supported in the default browser. You need to install Skyfire to watch flash video on your HTC HD2.
