Hello. Sony has had lots of trouble with this model. That said, turn it on, go into the menu and find reset. Do a reset which will bring the camera back to the settings it had the day you opened it for the first time. If this does not fix the problem send it in to Sony for a free repair. Joe

I had a acer lcd monitor al1716 that has a vertical lines in a block running across the screen with horizontal lines inside

If you have tried a different monitor and still get the vertical lines the problem lies either with your cable or graphics card or motherboard (if you don't have a graphics card).
If you are running a graphics card take it out and put it back in and check if it still shows you the lines, if so remove it and try using the on board graphics from the motherboard. 'f the problem disappears its the graphics card if not its the motherboard.

The screen when powered ON shows vertical colored lines from top to bottom. what can i do to resolve this?

Problem 1-cause from monitor or graphic card
Either the monitor is going bad or the video card is going bad. If you can get your hands on a spare monitor, try swapping it out and see if the lines are still there. If they are, then the problem is with the video card. You'll want to replace the video card if that is the case.

Solution-
Try restart your pc in safe mode. It will disable vga mode. If you are using pci-e card(external graphic card), try to change using internal graphic card to check wether that problem is cause from graphic memory problem. If your motherboard have internal memory, then you can change using internal memory. If your motherboard dont have it, that you need to buy new external memory. Before that, you can try clean and clear using eraser, to clean dirty at gold contact .
example link to follow.

Problem 2-cause from ram module
Ram modules can also cause vertical lines on a monitor. It's hard to believe but i have experienced it multiple times. The ram is detected by the system, yet the display is corrupt. If you open up the pc and touch the ram modules the lines go away. This is very rare yet a possible cause and easily overlooked.

Solution:
Same like memory graphic. Link
Try clean the dirty. Or if it cause from overheating, try using fan for ram.

Problem 3-overheating in graphic card

The video card could be over heating which causes what you are seeing, lines can also be called "Artifacts". Try opening the side of your case and see if you see these lines. Also, it could be a driver issue, try cleaning out your drivers using Driver Cleaner, and reinstalling the appropriate drivers.
If you have another computer, if the video card is a expansion video card (Meaning you have it in a PCI/AGP/PCI-E slot) try it in another computer to see if the problem persists, if so your card is probably bad and needs to be replaced.

Solution:

For this problem, actually, i try using fan.

Absolutely is solve the problem. i'm added internal fan, modified it for to cool graphic (PCI-E). fOR THIS CASE, mostly the problem you face is your pc will restart, or suddenly your screen became white. However, you can try.

Problem 4-magnet radiation

Also check to see if there are any magnets near the screen or hard drive.

For this, make your screen like rainbow. and sometimes, it make your screen, showing the line and it also will cause problem with your pixel in screen/ monitor

There are three possible solutions here. From what you are describing to me, you say the screen displays a couple of random numbers and letters, including a solid vertical line in the upper right corner, are scattered across the screen? Sounds like you are still in graphing mode. There is nothing wrong with your batteries and changing them won't help because I already know that you didn't change the CR Lithium Battery. This is the "memory card" for the TI-83 Plus. If you don't change that, when you insert new AAA batteries in the calculator, the memory has not been deleted. You probably don't remember, but the calculator remembers the last problem that you did, which was a graphing calculation. Try pressing the "Graph" button and the calculator will go back to function mode. If this doesn't work, try resetting all the memory.
  1. Remove a battery from the battery bay.
  2. Press and hold the CLEAR button while re-installing the battery.
  3. While still pressing the CLEAR key, press and hold down the ON button. If the home screen displays, release the keys.
  4. If the home screen is displayed, press 2nd MEMto display the memory menu.
  5. Select 7:Reset to display the "RAM ARCHIVE ALL" menu.
  6. Press the right arrow twice to display the "ALL" menu.
  7. Select 1:All Memory to display the "RESET MEMORY" menu.
  8. To proceed with the reset, select 2:Reset. The message "MEM cleared" is displayed on the home screen.
If this doesn't work, try changing the CR Lithium Battery. It is located in the battery bay at the top with the cross-head screw in it (It says BACK-UP BATTERY). It tells you what type of battery it takes and how to insert them in. I hope these possible solutions help. If all of them don't, then the only other thing I can think of is that it has some internal part alignment issues or a cold soldering iron blob, on the inside of the calculator. I saw one time on the Internet that cold soldering irons can sometimes make electronics not work properly.

There are vertical lines in the picture

Hi
Have you tried a different memory card? It could be that this is faulty and the data is not being written to the card properly. You could also try formatting the card within the camera and see if that helps.
