Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC
(I have windows XP Prof. 32 bit) This is what worked for me. I uninstalled/re-installed Java7 U 21. Then I started downloading MP3 Rocket. When it ask me WHERE to download it to...I simply "changed the destination folder," from where it was downloaded to the time before, and it worked. It then was able to access the Jarfile.

Here is what worked for me. Go to control panel and open programs and features. Uninstall everything to do with java then uninstall mp3 rocket. Reinstall java 7. Then go to MP3Rocket.com/support/. when it opens on the right side of the page are some options including download MP3 Rocket basic. Download it. if ur computer asks u if u want to install Java runtime environment refuse it. It worked for me. MP3 rocket opened with no problem. Java is JRE and it seems that if u have java and JRE both installed they conflict each other. Hopefully removing JRE won't affect anything else. all I know is it's nice to have my MP3 Rocket back.

1. Open Default Programs by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Default Programs.
2. On choose the programs that windows uses by default, Select “Associate a file type or protocol with a program > Click on the extension (.jar) to view the program that opens it by default.
3. Click change the program and select the default program JAVA virtual machine launcher

Now check if the issue is resolved
If the issue persists, you may want to uninstall and reinstall JAVA.
