This is not a ballast related problem. The tech you have talked to is trying to rip you off. A ballast is power supply for the lamp and it has nothing to do with this problem. From what you have described, it sounds like a faulty DMD board or convergence board. It would be helpful if you can upload an image to an imagehosting site like imageshack.us and get me the direct link so that I can see for myself what it looks like.

I would like to help you with your LCD TV picture problem.

I gather the picture looks like a negative image or something to that effect?

Please post the make and model number of your set; the more information you provide, the more accurate and specific we can be with our solutions.

I hope that helps.

You didn't say what sort of TV? anyhow, here are some training manuals, that can help you understand and maybe sort out your problem. This sounds like a Power Supply or Inverter issue. What you need to do is get a Service manual, like the links I posted BUT for your exact make and model.
Usually it is my professional opinion though that everyone should take their units to their manufacturers approved service center, contacting a head office, of your unit & getting a referral to an approved service center is just SO important, even worth the extra to ship it, you see, at those places, the Engineers, are trained on the equipment you have, they usually have parts on hand, and do the job quicker. Anyway do that and get a "Quote". This way, at least, you'll know weather to repair or replace.

I have a Sharp LCD that keeps changing inputs and will randomly turn itself on.

Sounds like you have another infared source that the LCD is seeing. Put opaque tape over the infared receiver and see if the issue continues. Look for another IR device in the area.

Tip

How to test an infared remote control device

How can I tell if my remote is working? You could invest in an infared detector pen or device that will detect the infared signal or you could use a common cellphone with camera mode. Place the phone in camera mode and hold the remote up to the camera lens. By depressing the buttons on the remote now you can actually see the emitted infared light slowed down to a visable light, thereby determining that any or all buttons of the remote are functioning properly.

Take a flashlight with you and shine it on what you want to focus. Press the shutter half-way, shut off the flashlight and press the rest of the way.

I like the camera but I see other people taking pictures with their camera in a very lightly lit room and you can see the faces on screen to take the picture but with the c813 you can't see hardly anything...

Try Different SCN. If you're experiencing this problem with your night pictures try and use SCN night, the logo shows a moon and a star, with or without Flash.
Also try to adjust the ISO.

Shows trouble code PO125 coolant temp. to low. replaced thermostat.no change still shows same code after driving 35 miles.

I would have the OBD II scanner clear the codes. Then if the code still pops up, I would have the coolant temperature sensor looked at.
