Question about Homelite Choke Lever 4 Blower W Zama C1u Carburetor
I can start my trimmer, but it is very hard to start,
Then it seems to be laboring and I can only run it at half choke because if I move it to run it stalls.
Remove carburetor and take off sides and back out needle valves. Be sure to turn needle valves in all the way and keep track of the # of turns so you can reset it. With sides off, using a bread or garbage bad tie, run tie in and out of inlets and jets. Also, make sure the screen on the one side is not plugged. Spray with carb cleaner, then compressed air. Reassemble carb and install low and high speed adj. screws to previous position. If you don't know where you're at. turn in all the way and back off 1 1/2 turns. This should get you running to fine tune. Also, it is very important to clean muffler out. The spark arrestor can clog and smother your engine. Either clean or remove wire screen and tap out any carbon that may be built up inside. Hope this helps. Also, make sure gas is fresh.
