Printer error I have an lemark 730 series printer and I am getting error 0x00000006. How do I solve this problem?

It sounds like a driver problem.. Try re-installing all the drivers.

If that doesn't work.. Are you running windows Vista? May be a compatibility issue..

I have a broken ink cartridge holder on a lexmark 730 series.it is saying ink cartridge missing


Hi David,

Unless you have a very expensive printer or you know of a store that has a wide range of used printers, it won't be worth your time and money to order a new cartridge tray for your printer.
I would suggest buying a new 730 series printer and keeping the old one for spares.
If however you're curious as to the price of a new cartridge holder it would be your best bet to browse to www.lexmark.com and do a parts enquiry from the website.

Try to use p3150 on vista - keep coming up with error 0x00000006


Incorrect software drivers. Download the vista software drivers from the lexmark site.

It will work, its for the 730 series and thats how lexmark does there software and drivers for there printers.

Attention Windows Vista Users

If you have installed your printer on your PC using an original Lexmark Driver CD that came with your product and you are experiencing problems when printing, you may have installed the Windows XP driver.

Follow these steps to resolve:
· Disconnect your USB cable from your printer.
· Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC.
· Download the correct Vista driver for your model.
· Install the driver on your PC.

Important - Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected.

The printer is printing in red type, does that mean the print cartridge needs changed on my 730 series printer and if this needs to be done how do i do it?

Several printer manufacturers produce printers w/ "730" in the model name.

If you could, please, provide us w/ the manufacturer and complete model no., we'll be happy to find the user manual for you. (The manual will include instructions for changing your printer cartridges.)

Error message when scanning


hello...

uninstall the printer driver and install agn..

clean the glass scanner

scan with the scanner open and see if the lamp moving...is not then the printer failure and need repair..

generaly is bad drivers install..

Connecting printer to Windows Vista Laptop


I have a new HP laptop with Vista Home OS, and I just installed my HL-1440 with a driver that was installed automatically in the "New Printer" procedure in Windows, and it works perfectly.
