Make sure you've let the printer know what type paper you are using. In the print dialog on your PC, you must choose in the preferences area whether Plain, Photo, Glossy, Cardstock, Envelopes, etc. Such things control the pressure of the rollers in the fuser, as well as it temperature. Too hot will result in curled paper.

Also, make sure you are storing the paper properly prior to printing. It can't be too damp either, or it will curl.

Finally, if all else fails, your fuser may be overheating and need to be replaced. Hope not. If so, look for a rebuillt one online. Much cheaper than new. Good lick!

My copies come out curled. Is there an adjustment for that? Brad

Sound more like a paper incompatibility problem. Try another brand of paper, bearing in mind that a laser printer has heating rollers that do tend to put a bit of a curl in the paper.

HP color laserjet 3000n error 49.4C02

Thank you for the inquiry.
49.4C02 Error The 49.4C02 error usually follows a paper jam. When the customer closes a door after clearing the jammed media from one area of the printer, the control panel immediately posts a 49.4C02 error. Often, the customer will then power cycle the printer and it will hang at Checking Printer. For the 49 error to occur, additional media must still be stuck in the paper path.
Firmware version 5.005.3 contains a fix that allows the printer to recover and notify the customer of the location of the additional jammed media in the paper path. Customers who experience this issue should update to the newer firmware. This version of firmware also fixes the issue with the printer hanging in Checking Printer.
Since a paper jam is the event that triggered the 49 error, if paper jams continue, troubleshoot as necessary.

Hope this helps helps. Please keep us updated and remember to rate this answer.

Is it possible to burn yourself with the paper coming out of an HP LaserJet printer?

No, is not possible. The paper can't be overheated in such manner to burn you because it will turn yellow or brown.

Paper is curled inwards when it is ejected from the printer.

Hi,

Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry. Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print. Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job. Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Paper comes out in a rolled fasion

I guess what you mean is the paper curls when it comes out. It's most likely that the paper is cold and a bit moist, then once it goes through the transfuser (a very hot module inside the printer that settles the toner onto paper) and with the tensions on rollers, the heated surface expands and causing the paper to curl. And thicker paper will have more effect than normal papers. Try keep storing your paper in a dry location (but without sunlight).

Paper curl

Paper Curl. Does the paper have a curl on the trail edge? (The last part of the paper to exit the printer)

If it is the entire paper replacement of the fuser will likely resolve this.
If the paper curl is on the trail edge then replacement of the upper delivery roller should be done.
