Its the most common poblem with the ax 100-200 projector. Many a times only the ballast requires to be replaced.yet on may occasions both mainboard and ballast requires replacement. its best to confirm with a good known working ax200 and replace first the lamp, ballast and the mainboard.panasonic ax 200 lamps also have failed premature as per my experience.

Hi, You need to check the output voltages of the power supply to see which one goes off. It may be due to short circuits some where,if otherwise Power supply board just die.It can be dead at anytimes.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Hello. Lamp should be replaced in average every 2.5 years. Bad lamp could look OK but it is not. Replace the lamp first if it is older than 2-3 years. You have to do it in any case. If new lamp will not work, only then you can start thinking about ballast replacement. If you are OK with the screwdriver and you have technical skills you don't need service manual to replace ballast. You will need to remove rear cover and locate it near the lamp. It is not too hard. Regards. Russ.
Is the lamp indicator light flashing? A new lamp may not solve the problem. The known problem with lamp failures is poor voltage output from the ballast,.. a problem Panasonic refuses to correct and they decided to no longer provide the repair part through their supplier in an attempt to sweep this problem under the rug.
Lamp light flashing once every 5 seconds or twice every 5? Twice every 5 seconds,....lamp failure, once every 5 seconds,...ballast or thermal fuse failure. You have a lamp, ballast or thermal fuse problem. The ballasts are a discontinued part and can only be purchased used at approx. $225.00 or rebuilt for around $175.00 less any service charges to diagnois and repair.
