Yes, this happens to me too. It always happens just before the unit freezes up totally. I press the rest button and then it works for a few days and starts all over again. today it would not reboot. I downloaded what I thought was the fix from pioneerelectronics.com and nothing still. I e-mailed Pioneer for help before the warantee ran out and they never contacted me. Now? The warrantee is out by one month and I will be calling them on Monday. Any bets on what they will say? "Too bad!" is my guess. $3,000.00 down the tubes.

Pioneer avic n3 doesn't play audio, but has button sounds

There is a built-in speaker for those tones inside the unit.
Seems as if your internal amplifier IS blown. It is probably cheaper - and will sound better to install a cheap 2 or 4 channel amplifier anyway.
The head units BOAST 50W per channel... but that is PEAK power. Most actually only produce 10-15W rms.
Replacing an output on the head unit will run you approximately $75 for the first... and $20 each additional. (up to 4)

You can get a great class a/b 2 or 4 channel amplifier for that price with built in crossovers and your sound will be 100x better!

I have a Jensen flip out 7 inch screen and i have always used burnt cds in it and they have worked fine but i burned 2 disc off the other day and it will play songs like 1-10 good but then starts skipping...

sounds like a bad spot in your ribbon cable. it runs form the laser assembly to the circuit brd. you could have some dirt on the sled rails..either way the radio will have to be taken apart..if you can do this yourself the ribbon cable is not too expensive...labor is what gets you..

Deleting song

You only have to go to the album that the song is listed on, play the song, go to memo and one of the choices will be to delete the song, but you can only do it from the album listing.

I have a Pioneer AVIC-D2 DVD Nav/6.5" Screen/AM/FM/CD Player Car Video Player i can play music on it ,wen i insert a dvd the screen goes black i can hear the dvd playing on my speakers but no picture comes...

there is a safety brake wire that needs to be hooked up. If it was installed professionally, have them explain it to you. There is not supposed to be any video players in view of the driver while in motion. Stop your car and put on the parking brake. If you installed it yourself, you probably didnt hook up the wire. Look inthe install manual for DVD safety wire.

Problem with playing DVD-R discs

The problem is that the mp3 format compresses the files to make them very small. The advance function on the dvd player was set up to advance, let's say, 1/2 second at a time. Well, the dvd or cd file will advance a 1/2 second, but an mp3 format file, which is way smaller, will advance the same distance on the disc which ends up being 10 seconds or so. I had the same problem with my panasonic. Solution would be to burn the files onto the disc in a cd format. You won't be able to put 100+ songs on the disc like you could with an mp3 format, but you will be able to controll the advancing a lot easier.

HELP!!! My cd player just skips through all song never playing....

Sorry but this unit has a problem with the tracking servo. The problem could be an alighnment, or a bad componet such as the laser assembly, tracking motor or tracking driver IC, with all of these problems the unit will need to come out of the vehicle. Good Luck
