Should've bought a chevy! Just kidding, when I have a similar problem, the GM dealers will do it for nothing, I'd try another dealer who isn't trying to rip you for a five minute job

Stereo reset code 98 honda crv

You need the radio serial # to get the reset code from Honda. Look for a white sticker, about 1/2" x 2" , usually stuck in the glove box, or on the sides of the glove box, but it could be anywhere. It will either have a long #, which is the serial #, or 2 rows of #s, the 5 digit 1 being the radio code. Where to stick this was up to the PDI technician. Also there was a credit card sized card with the code on it that came with the owners manual. Lots of customers wrote the code in their owners manual, if you have it. With the serial #, which is also on the radio, you go to a dealer with proof of ownership, and an adviser can get you the code. Also you can register your ownership with Honda online and there is access to the code at the owners site. If you can't find the sticker, (door jam, hood, trunk, on ashtray, it can be anywhere) you will need too pull the radio to get the serial #. Good luck.

Most Honda radio codes are located on a code card located in the glove box. This code card looks like a white credit card. I have also seen dealerships place the code on a label that can be placed on one of the sides of the glove box, in one of the door jams, in the trunk along the bottom of the rear package shelf or on the the trunk lid. Your stereo code is 62322.

However best would be to
take the serial number behind the radio, call honda dealer at parts be nice to the guy & he should give you the the code. sometime they don't give, maybe it stolen radio, if you know somebody at a dealer its gonna be faste.

Another otion is to go to the site, punch in your serial no. & obtain the code. You will need to keep the following information handy

Need car radio code

your best chance of getting the code is call your local dealer or someone who deals with your model car. You should be able to give them your vin/serial number and they can look up the code. The code should be in your glove box with your owners manual or with the papers that came with the vehicle but if not your going to have to talk to someone from tech services at a dealer.

I dont have radio code of civic 2005

Look through the glove box for what looks like a white credit card, the "Code card". The code can be four or five digits depending on automobile and stereo. Many times, dealerships write the code on a piece of tape or label and may place it in one of several areas. On one of the sides of the glove box, on the bottom of the ash tray, in the trunk on the trunk lid, in the trunk on the bottom of the package shelf, or in one of the door jams. Check the owners manual, the code may be written in on the stereo pages, one of the covers or other pages by the previous owner. On rare occasions, the code may be written on the stereo.
However, if this does not help, your local dealership parts or service dept can retrieve the code if they are given the serial number of the stereo. There are two possible ways to find the serial number. One, remove the stereo and locate the serial number from one of the labels on the stereo. Two, with the stereo off, push and hold preset radio button 1 and 6 while turning the stereo on, four digits should appear in the display for several seconds followed by four more digits, this is your stereo serial number.

Honda Civic 2001 ex

The radio requires a 5-digit security code. When it was installed, most dealers put the code somewhere in the car. It's an unlabeled 5-digit number with digits ranging from 1-6. Mine was inside the glove box, I've heard of them being under the hood in the fuse box or in the trunk.

COde Error 2004 Honda Odyssey, what's the code-don't have the manual

The only way to get the code is giving the serial number off the radio to the loacl Honda dealer. They can then look it up through Honda's radio code database. If you remove the radio yourself, they might not charge to give you the code.
