Hi.

The fault is probably the DVD and box connection to TV on AV1 and 2, or the settings.

If you are using AV cables you need to check that the yellow video r cable is properly connected, along with thered and white audio cables. The cables must go from DVD or box output to TV input.

If you are using component cables, then the audio may need an additional cable.

To be more specific I need to know the following.

TV model.

Model of each component connected to TV (DVD, box etc)

Type of cable used and what cable connects to what input on TV.

Here list of common cables used to connect TV to devices:

HDMI

Please let me know list and models of connected devices, TV model, and details on how each device is connected to TV.

Thanks.

For a standard VCR which is what most people have, all you need to do is connect a yellow RCA cable for video from the yellow output jack on the cable box rear panel to the VCR's yellow video input jack on its rear panel. Next connect a white RCA audio cable from the cable box white RCA output jack to the VCRs white RCA audio input jack. You can record a cable show by selecting the LINE input on the VCR and selecting the TV show on the cable box.

Now for playback, connect the VCR to your TV. Connect a yellow video cable from the VCR's yellow output jack to the TV's yellow video input jack. Same for the white audio connection. Select on the TV, the source input for the VCR. Its not complicated and you should not need any other devices for a standard setup with a digital cable box and vcr.

Have a toshiba tp 61H95 proj TV- want to connect panasonic dvd recorder and toshiba vhs recorder so I can copy family videos to dvd- can't get hook ups set up for both to work.

Select AV-1 or some thing in TV and plug DVD recorder Video-Audio output in AV-1 input of TV, playback any DVD and confirm its picture and sound in TV. Press Stop button of DVD recorder to stop playback.
Now plug Video-Audio output of VCR in DVD recorder input and select AV Input in DVD recorder, insert VHS tape in VCR and playback it and confirm you get VHS picture and sound in TV via DVD recorder.
Hookup between TV, DVD recorder and VCR is completed.
Playback VHS tape in VCR, Insert blank DVD disc in DVD recorder and press Record while you see VHS tape picture in TV.
Hope this info will help you.

No Picture. I do have sound and it will change channels. I have unplugged power cord and let set. Lights flash on front like it is re-setting itself, but still no picture. I have also removed the DVD...

This could be one of several things, the line or frame stage may have developed a fault which would put the set into a protection mode to stop any damage to the CRT. You would need to remove the rear cover & use a mutil-meter to check which voltages are present & which are missing to the timebase stages. It could be the frame IC or the line output transistor/ output stage.

Cant get a picture

1st-how do you have your "cox" cable box [you could have said it was a cox cable box!!] connected. Can you 'get a picture' through the TV without the VCR ? Do that! disconnect the VCR from the line and plug the TV directly to the "cox" box.Does it work? Are any of the cables connected from cox to VCR to TV damaged.? Let me know how you have the three(3) equipments connected.

Toshiba 24AF41 TV won't turn on

The tic tic sound is a device called safety switch that keeps turningyour TV off because an internal fault, such as a defective component ora wrong voltage is detected.
When is like that we say the tv is in protected mode.

Start unplugging TV power cord for one or two hours (it is called hardreset), this will drain power from tv and seset internal circuit, andsometimes can clear the error message, if the fault was only temporary.

If the problem does not go, then you have to troubleshoot the problem, probably some component inside the tv is faulty and may need to bereplaced. If you want to do it yourself is better to buy the servicemanual.
Here you can buy parts and service manual.

If you need to call for repair you can use the phone number listed on the TV owner manual.

Unplug the Moto box and plug back in after 1 min, as far as the codes, which remote cable/ tv? Cable remotes vary so much you will probably have to call your provider to have them walk you through programming.
