  1. you need to shut off all the valves and disconnect the tank.
  2. slowly open the tank valve and listen for gas escaping. (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SMELL FOR THE GAS, THIS COULD PROVE HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH)
  3. you are looking for a valve or connection that is clogged. if gas escapes from the tank the reconnect the tank and check at each connection.
  4. if all connections are complete and functional, your problem may be at the burner itself. Using a push pin, **** the holes in the burner, paying attention to the amount of greasy build up.
  5. If the level of build up is severe, remove the burners completely and soak them in a tub of concentrated dish soap and warm water. DO not use hot or cold water.
  6. remember to shut the tank valve off in between each test cycle.
  7. a clean grill is the key to keeping it functioning properly,
  8. if you are having trouble getting the burners out, spray lighter fluid on the burners holes and light with a fireplace match, or rolled piece of paper.

How do i remove the propoane gas tank safely...i lost my instruction manual. need to replace the tank.

Turn the gas tank valve OFF by turning the tank valve clockwise. Then disconnect the hose from the tank valve and remove the tank from the grill. When reinstalling a full tank, do everything in reverse of removing it. In addition, once the hose is connected to the tank, open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Opening it quickly, can cause the grill's regulator to lockup and provide little or no gas to the burners.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have Weber Genisi Silver model 8133 which has been hook up to a natural gas line. We have moved to a new location and can only use a propane tank hook up. Do I need a adaption for conversion to...

Unfortunately, you cannot use your Natural Gas Grill on Propane Gas. In addition, there is no conversion kit for Weber Grills. That's why they make two different gas models. Conversion of a grill becomes a safety issue. As each model Weber grill is tested and approved only for the specific gas type. Attempts to convert it voids that approval.

I'm sorry I didn't have better news. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Burners won't heat adequately when I plum to bulk propoane tank supply line at my house. What is psi weber requires? Grill works fine when connected to portable tank.

For gas, it's not the psi, you need to know. It's the water column inches of gas at the grill. In which case, it should be 11 to 13 WCI.

If you didn't remove the original gas regulator on the grill. That's the problem. You bulk tank already has a regulator. However, if you LPG System is a high pressure system, then you would need a regulator, but not the one you have. Check with your LP Gas provider for the Btu output regulator that would be required.

I thoroughly cleaned my Weber Genesis Silver A and have a full tank of gas. It won't get hotter than 250-300 degrees. Flames are blue.

You might have air block. When turning off the grill, leave one burner on and shut the tank valve.
When grill cools, close the remaining valve. When restarting the grill, open the tank valve, then the start burner, then the igniter. When first burner is going, open remaining two valves to preheat the grill.

This has worked on two different grills.

My weber genesis silver starts up, but doesn't get hot enough to cook the food. Seems like not enough flame out of either front or back burners. I tried Outting in a full propane tank, but that didn't...

Try these steps in order.
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the tank
  3. Open the grill lid
  4. Turn all control valves to high
  5. Wait for about a minute
  6. Turn all control valves to off
  7. Reconnect the gas line to the tank
  8. SLOWLY turn on the gas at the tank
  9. Light the grill normally
  10. Your grill should now heat normally

Weber Silver Genesis C regulator purging gas after reset process

This could be caused by a couple of problems. First the regulator could be bad, or the tank is getting to hot. Which causes the relief valve to open and release pressure. This will happen when weather outside is hot.

Cannot draw gas fully out of my tank

Yes,it definitely sounds like the regulator to me.First check to see if the regulator is still under warranty,if not replace regulator with a Weber or comparable one and try again.
