Ok so the fact that it is printing gibberish means that either A you have not installed the hp software or B the software is not being recognized or is corrupt.
If you have not installed the software that came with it you have to do that so the proper drivers are installed.
If you have the software installed then go to your start menu and then the control panel. Go to printers and faxes and delete the F380 from the list. If there is more than one then delete them all. Then click on the add a printer button on the left. Go through the prompts to add the printer to the list and then close out and try to print again.
If that still does not solve the issue go into the hp folder in the start menu or hard drive and do the hp uninstaller and download the most recent drivers from www.hp.com
- on the left side you will see a grey menu that says software and driver downloads click on it and type your product. Then click your OS and download and install the applicable file.
