We dropped our camera in water (not a lot though) but ever since our flash has stopped working. whenever we try to take pics with flash on, the lightening bolt sign keeps flickering & the pic cannot be taken. Can somebody pls tell us what could be possible wrong & how to rectify this.
It sounds like you need a new battery. When batteries start to fail the flash tends to stop working. You can get a battery at www.needbattery.com
They guarantee thier batteries for a year and they are 1 of the cheapest stores for batteries you can find on or off the net. Hope this helps.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
hi...The transmission system that moves the lens in and out has a problem with it's gears. There is most likely a gear or an actuator that has fallen out of alignment and is getting stuck at a certain point as the lens comes in/out.There is some disturbacnce of the lens arrangement that is preventing the lens from coming in/out.Any of these symptoms above could trigger the camera to shut itself off to protect itself from further damage. thank u rate me!!!
aiya, sameish thing happened to me. i have the olympus FE230.. and i actually dropped it on the wood floor, so whenever i turn on the camera light is red, and the lcd is white. i can still take pictures though...
by dropping you can damage the charging circuit of the flash unit. flash tube is the later part. it seems that the charging circuit of the camera is not working thus it hangs the camera when flash is switched on.
