Question about Dual XDV8125
Well now that the weather is better I can now take my car out again, but I seem to be having a problem with my CD player. The first day I took it to work is was fine and then while driving it around later that day and on the way home the sound went out. No music, no CD player sound, nothing! So I figured ok maybe I blew a fuse and I'll check in the morning just to see.
So in the morning I started my car up and I played around with the wiring and the switch for my screen to turn the parking brake on and off for the screen to go on or off that I wired in. I turned the CD player back on and it worked fine again and I didn't have any problems with it again until today.
My car was sitting all weekend as I didn't use it for anything but this morning I started it up and there was no sound again. So I tried what I stated above and nothing happened. Also the whole way to work I was moving the wires around and hitting the sides to see if the wires were loose or anything to get it to come on. I figured yea by the time I get this working I'll probably already be at work lol. So nothing worked and I couldn't figure it out. So the turn right before my work I was sitting there waiting at a red light not moving or anything and all of a sudden the sound just comes on and starts working again??
I have no idea what that would be if it just randomly comes on while nothing is happening, any ideas?
Do you have a trailer signal module hooked up to the 12v remote feed? That sounds rather specific, I know, but I've experienced a similar issue. The trailer wiring harness adapter is often tied to 12v remote lines as it's easy to reach if there are amps near the rear of the car. Just a thought. Other wise you may want to re-attach the ground/s to ensure the unit is very well grounded.

If the cd's come in and out fine then it has something to do with key wire (red) . I try and always use and a adaptor harness when installing aftermarket decks. Make sure your wires are well inulated and not pinched when deck is "in its place".
