Hi,so you put a brand new lamp in and still didn't work ? Did you take it out and looked burned? If it did blow up again or didn't light up at all it could be a problem with something else. The most common failure is the ballast which is the board that powers the lamp. When that board gets to weak or provides a higher voltage it could make the lamp blow.ALso make sure everything is properly closed,(door cover) and reset the lamp hrs.

Wiper fuse blows as soon as you insert one

first....be sure the fuse is the right ampage. second...if the ampage is correct, and it still blows, do the following. Disconnect the ground-side of your battery. Attached test lamp to ground-side of battery. Take probe end of test lamp and touch anypart of the motor body frame. If the test lamp (DOES NOT LIGHT UP), you have an electrical short. Recommend OBD (On-board Diagnostic) analysis test.

Channel B protection light is on and it blows 1 of 4 fuses. channel A runs fine --- help !

You likely have some semiconductor part failures on the side that is blowing fuses.

Put a 100 watt lamp in place of the fuse that is blowing so that you can test parts. The lamp will limit the current to a safe value and allow you to weed out the bad parts.

EXPECT that the power amp transistors (probably BOTH sides are bad (shorted) and that the probllem may have fried driver transistors and associated resistors back a stage or two. DO NOT replace the lamp with a fuse until the amp BALANCES with the lamp in place... one bad part left in fries the whole lot again!

The previous owner installed an after market Alpine CD player, It is wired into the dome light circuit and has a dead short. The dome light fuse (#12) 15A blows intermediately after inserting a new one and...

This could be a component or a wiring fault. It is easier to check the components so:-

1)Remove lamp and insert new fuse.

If fuse goes again, disconnect stereo, replace lamp and fuse.

If fuse does not blow the dump stereo.

If fuse goes again, trace the wiring and

If it still blows, then the stereo is likely to be faulty

Epson 7300

Hi there

The Epson Powerlite 7300's lamp has got a chip on the side of the lamp's bracket that resets the lamp timer automatically when a new lamp is inserted. And it only does it once - first time the unit is switched on after replacing with a new lamp.

The fuse on this chip blows and causes the lamp timer to be reset. Unfortunatelly this is the only way to reset the lamp timer on this model. There is no manual way.

So to cutt to the chase , you will have to buy the original lamp and replace it before it will reset.

Part Number is : ELPLP05
