I have gone into the contro; panel and disabled log off then enable etc. No good though. Have also Fn then F2 buttons still no good. This is a problem with this laptop as per postings. Can you help?

1 ) Normally what you need to do is make sure that the wifi lights are on. If it is not turned on, you may need to turn it on by pressing a button or a combination key to turn on your wifi.
    2) Right click the wifi icon on the lower right side of the screen. You then choose the wireless configuration or choose the wireless access point name you want to connect to.
    3) Make sure that you type in the right security or encryption key if your network requires it.

Try to go to the bios screen on restart and from there test the button if you would be able to see the wifi lights turn on.

If the light would turn on from the bios screen then restart again into windows. From there go to control panel and then the network connections. Check if your wireless is disabled. If it is, right click the wireless and then enable it.

Try those steps and tell me if it works. Also tell me if it would turn on the light when you are on the bios screen.

I see. Ok the best thing to do is to restore your system back to the time before you used the wireless broadband connection. Go to start > programs > accesories > system tools > system restore. Then do the system restore and restore it to the day before you installed the wireless broadband.

The bios screen is the splash screen you see when you turn on the computer. It would say asus on your laptop screen. Then you would notice that you have to press either del, F2 or F10 to go to a system settings or bios settings page.

Hi! Since we are not making progress with regard to the issue. The best thing to do is to use a remote access, so that I could further check the system. Would you like us to do a remote access session? That would allow me to access your computer and check your system further. This, however, would be needing an access to the internet. If you would be able to gain access other than the wifi then that would be great.

ok. Access this link to download the software.

Download it and install. After that run it and then give me the ID and the access password. And I will be connecting right away.

    Remote Acccess Notes:

    1) Checked Wireless driver. Wireless driver is ok and there are no bangs.
    2) Turned on Wireless gui. Asked customer to press the wireless buttons and keys. Wireless buttons and keys are working since it would pull up the GUI.
    3) Went into Command Prompt and checked connection each time the customer would press the wireless buttons. Found that the Wireless is still disconnected each time.

    - Told the customer that the issue is already a hardware problem with regard to his wireless card. No issue with the software.
    - Customer verified that he was having some issues with the wireless card for some time now.
    - Customer will have the system checked by local hardware technician.

Right click the wireless icon in the lower right hand corner by your clock and click view available wireless networks. Then select configure advanced settings. Click on the wireless networks tab.
In the lower part of the screen select your wireless network and remove it. Reboot the laptop
Once back on, view available wireless networks again, double click yours and join it again. It may ask you for your password so make sure you have that handy.
