You can find drivers for HP 2200C Scanjet scanner for Win 7 and 8 from www.hamrick.com. Its working with watermark in free edition otherwise you have to buy the licence. Regards Mukesh
win xp is a far outdated os and may not be compatible with the scanner
click on scanner properties and then the compatibility tab and see that the small square is ticked and then high light win xp as the OS
If there is no win xp , it will not work
if all is there then get the honeywell web site open and down load the driver for that scanner
Hi Mrlumby! According to cannon's website, no, it has OS compatibility up to windows xp... Sorry. Maybe you could use xp mode in windows 7 and then install and use the scanner there. Hopes that helps!
Your scanner seems to be an old one and the latest driver from Microtek is for Windows XP. Have you tried installing the WinXP driver in "Compatibility Mode"?
To do so right click the Installer > Properties > Compatibility > Check XP
OR
Try not to install by double clicking on the Install.exe or Setup.exe Instead try a manual setup by going to Control Panel and selecting Add New Hardware and going to the page/window where you get the option "Have Disk..." and there you could search for and point to the relevant .inf (info) file from the setup folder to enable the OS to pick it up and install it from there.
I feel that trying either of the two above options could solve your problem. Please let me know, what ever the result.
For simplicity depending on your Windows Operating System(OS), easiest is just to install "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack or K-Lite Codec Pack" codec. These packages are compatible ot OS(XP, Vista & Win7 - 32bit(x86)). If your system is 64bit(x64), you can also download & install the 64bit version too. You can install both 32&64 bit versions together if your OS is 64bit.
I'm sorry to inform you that there is not a driver for Vista. There are only drivers for 98E, Me, 2000, and Xp, OS 8.6, OS9.x.x, OS 10.2xJaguar, OS 10.3xPanther, and OS 10.4xTiger. Let me know if any of these will work for you and I can provide you with the driver. Thanks. JimmyC
Get VueScan I am using my 640U under vista 64bit. Tried other methods like trying to get the xp driver to work but never had any success. Had it up and running with in minutes with this, and it supports alot of older scanners.
