DigitalMedia Archive window

Here is the resolve, straight from HP Tech Support.

Sometimes, during load, Roxia Digital Media Archive doesn't load correctly, or becomes corrupt. This is where you are getting the EZARC.msi request from. If you follow these steps, you shoud resolve the problem.

start > all programs > HP Application Recovery

When the Application Recovery console comes up, Choose Application Installation then click NEXT.

When the list comes up, highlight Roxio DigitalMedia Archive by clicking on it, then click the "Install" button.

It will re-install Digital Media Archive, and fix your EZARC.msi search issue.

Hope this helps.

HP Digital Media Archive Pop UP

The setup file was stored on a network, it wasn't on your computer and now its trying to get it and it can't find it. you will have to get a copy of the file to your computer and then when it asks or the pop up comes you need to direct it to the file you got.

HP Digital Media Archive Pop UP

Reinstall Sonic MyDVD from the Application Recovery. A lot of HP computers have done this or produced that constant pop up.

If that doesn't work, go to:

Start > Run and type in msconfig in the box.
Then click the Startup tab and uncheck the box beside DMA (digital media archive)
Click Apply then Close. Reboot when prompted and you shouldn't get that annoying pop up any longer.

If you don't even use the Sonic MyDvD program on the computer, just uninstall Sonic completely from Add/Remove.

HP Digital Media Archive Pop UP

Hello,

Sounds like you have may have it run on startup. Just to see you can use msconfig to temporarily disable it by following these steps:

Hello,

That usually means that a program that starts when Windows starts isnt functioning correctly, You can test it by clixking Start > Run > type Msconfig and press enter. After that click the startup tab. Here you will see programs that load when Windows starts.

If you recognize the program thats causing the issue, simply click the box to the left of the item to uncheck it and click OK. You will then be prompted to restart.

As the machine restarts, check to see if the issue has disappeared.

If so, great. Be aware that you that you will be prompted with a "System Configuration Utility" dialog that lets you know you are using Msconfig. If you don't want to be warned of this, click the box that says "Dont show this message..." and click OK.

If not, run Msconfig again, and uncheck the next suspicious program and repeat the process until the problem disappears.

Below is a link with information on using Msconfig. It also has other links that include information of some of the programs that you might see in the startup window of Msconfig.

NOTE:
There's is a "Disable all" button under the startup tab. But I wouldn't suggest using that initially. It is better to uncheck them one at a time so you can see what is causing the issue.
Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.
Thanks

If you are running windows xp, go to start / run . type: msconfig
Go to the start-up tab and see if you can find a reference to the "Digital Media" program and uncheck it.
Also look in the start-up folder in Start / All Programs for this program.
You can delete it from there. This does not remove the program, just does not tell it to start automatically. If you don't use the program, uninstall it.
Sounds like one of those ADD-ON programs that get installed with printers or cameras.
