Question about Car Audio & Video
I have a zx 200.2 powering four pioneer 6x8's in my crown victoria and for some reason with the volume at a certain level the protection comes on the amp. All four speakers are 4 ohms so the amp is running at 2 ohms and if i take the right side off from my rca jacks i can turn it up. Whats my problem?

Any mosfet transistor amplifier shares two on each side, so if you re running four speakers on a two channel amp you are running at less than 1 ohm, only certain amps can run at 1 ohm stable, protection mode is a precausion, so if its happening you are pushing it too hard, carefull you are punching pure DC into your speakers and soon one if them will give way... good luck
