Question about LG GWA-4082N DVD RW Dual Layer Burner
Drive has worked well for about 1.5 yrs until kids improperly inserted disk and lodged it between drive housing and keyboard. Now windows (XP SP2 home) device manager reports driver loaded but cannot find hardware device. The pavilion can still boot from the dvd, but I cannot get drive to work in windows. I have tried uninstall driver and reinstalling with the same results.
Try unstalling it and upgradeing windows to xpsp 3 then reloading drivers sounds like error message has locked into your memeory somewhere mite try download some kind of real removeal hsoftware from www.freesoftware.com
or www.MajorGeeks.com and then downloading this www.slysoft.com
from this site you can write rewrite and download just about evertything and you can test drive it for 20 days or so lala linda
