Rinse on Whirlpool LSQ8000

Hi
We have a whirlpool Ultimate Care 11 3RLSQ8000JQ5
The machine sticks when it gets to rinse and the water only trickles into the machine and takes about 3hrs to fill the drum there is a humming sound while it does this
Does anyone have any idea what the fault may be?
Thanks in advance

This is commonly caused by a water inlet valve that has become clogged with sediment over time. If you live in an area that has hard water, or if you are using well water, the inlet valve sediment screens and/or the fill hose screens can become clogged with calcium or rust sediment. You can check the sediment screens and clean them with a 50/50 solution of distilled vinegar and hot water to dissolve any sediment and flush with hot water. However, if the water flow is still weak, you may need to replace the inlet valve. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575881-replacing_water_inlet_valve_on_whirlpool

You can also refer to this link to remove the valve and allow it to soak in some sediment dissolving solution, such as the distilled vinegar I mentioned, or by using a commerical solution (such as CLR). If you decide to remove the valve and try this, only submerge the valve ports. Do not submerge the solenoid electrical connections.

CAUTION: Some of these commerical solutions give off strong vapors and odors. Use in a well ventilated area.

If you are going to go the route of removing the valve, however, it may make better sense to simply replace it, rather than running the chance of having to repeat these steps again, if cleaning doesn't work.

Replacement parts can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartrsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

The replacement valve part number for the model you have listed is 285805. Some model numbers may not be listed on all websites. The parts, however, are pretty standard among all series of washers manufactured by Whirlpool. Although, the model may not be listed, the parts will.

Whirlpool washer new..,. washes cold wash cold rinse.. hot wash cold rinse.. but on warm wash is cold wash cold rinse I can send wasdher back just got it t0 day or is there something I can do?

Be sure the hot water valve is all the way opened first. Both faucets must have equal pressure for washer to work properly. They all rinse with cold water, this is normal.

Whirlpool washer will not stop at end of cycle

Turn off extra rinse switch or pull wire going to it. If water is slow the water valve may have a restriction in it. Remove hoses and check for blockage in the hose screens.

Ultimate Care II - Rinse Cycle does not start

sounds like a lid switch problem. is there a clicking noise when you open and close the lid?
if not then the lid switch may need to be replaced; inexpensive.
this could also be caused by a bad timer.
also try a different speed for the rinse cycle, it may be a bad motor and it is not going into a certain speed. instead of gentle or slow speed try fast or normal, something like that.

Washing machine

IS THIS HAPPENING ON COLD AND HOT WATER RINSE ??? THERE IS AN ELECTRIC SOLENOID VALVE FOR HOT AND COLD WATER SUPPLY. THESE SOLENOIDS HAVE STRAINERS AND ORFICES THAT CAN CLOG UP WITH SEDIMENT IN THE WATER SUPPLY ... MOST ALL OF THEM ARE CLEANABLE. THIS IS NOT AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR ... BEWARE!!!
