Hi, i have tried it my self several times with no success, i even went as far as contacting my auto dealer but could not override it. Maybe you should try any auto dealer around you, but as for me, I've given up..

Take care

I would like to watch the DVD in my car as im driving (for the Kids) but when it comes out of Park I can only hear it but not view it. Dodge Caliber 2010

That is a safety feature and to override it invites driver distraction no matter if you say it is for the kids. So the answer is don't try to bypass the lock out.

Here is the code:
I did this with the remote
Press stop twice(which is also the BAND button)
Press 1,2,6,4
Press down 1 time(button below the Play/Enter)
Press Play/Enter 1 time
(You should now see the menu)
Brake override should say No
I was told to change macrovision to No
Hit sys setup twice to save and exit
Hope it works like mine did!

I have the avn2454 and it will not play a dvd

is the car in park? There is a manual override that must be done, as it is against the law to have video playing in the driver's view.
Put car in park and apply parking brake. Retry.
