Oh oh sorry to say this but sounds like the motor windings are going bad? does it shut off then about 30 to 60 minutes later u can start agin? a bad cycling thermostat or thermistor could be culprit but I doubt that in ur case.
Your/The heating element needs to be replaced. You can repair it yourself...copy serial number and model type down and order element. Sears, Lowes, and Home Depot carry appliance parts for many names. You will have to order it. Relatively simple job...30-60 min job.
Sounds like on of the thermostats have gone bad. You will need a multimeter to test them for continuity. Here is a link to the parts you may need. This is a video to show you how to do it.
Hope this helps you!
The 'operating thermostat' is not working correctly. It should allow heating up to about 155 degrees F and then open for a short period and then re-close. This is the cycle during drying.
Common issue with the A8100fd. The most likely problem you are having is not enough light. Try shooting in bright sunlight to test the "graininess". Make sure you use the flash anytime the light is not bright. Even though the camera will shoot in low light (without flash), because it defaults to a high ISO setting, which (just like film) accentuates the "grain", or more properly termed in digital photography, "noise". Set the camera for a low ISO setting and use the flash whenever you see the "red hand" symbol on the screen.
You say its a gas dryer...there is no element. Have you cleaned the lint trap. Is the vent clear of obstructions? I suspect one of these issues will be the problem
The belt has groves, right? Make sure the groves go over the motor pulley from the right. The idler pulley is spring loaded. Place the belt around the idling pulley with the smooth side of the belt on the pulley. This should work.
