You have to get the switch replaced as the contact inside the switch is either worn out or loose.

Do your brake lights work? Your brake pedal switch supplies power to the shift solenoid to alow you to shift. When you push the pedal do you here a clicking in the Shifter? The fuse might have blown, it is in the interior fuse panel possibly listed as shift interlock.

Burner ignighter will not stop clicking. The burner is not lit, but the clicking will not stop

One of the 4 burner control switches on the front of each burner control valves has failed. Inside the thin ceramic switch there are 2 thin strips of copper that are pushed together by a rotating cam driven by the movement of the burner control knob. One of the thin strips is stuck together.
UNPLUG the unit and only plug it in briefly for testing.
The top has to be opened by removing all 4 burner caps and removing the 4 screws under the burner caps. Remove the caps completely but reconnect one burner cap and make sure it is grounded so you can test the igniter's. The gas burner tubing needs removed then the gas burner support has to be removed to gain access to these switches. To remove the wires from the switch you have to use a jewelers screwdriver to release the 2 wires from the switch one at a time. The switches are in series parallel so if one switch is stuck all 4 igniter's pop. To read out the switches you have to remove at least one wire from each switch and insert a short test wire to read for continuity, The switch that has continuity with the burner control switch OFF is the failed switch.
NOTE: the yellow and orange wires need to be insulated during testing. I use a folded paper bag or torn off strips of a cardboard box Just test briefly....
The part number for the switch is 7403P190-60 (Image search)

There are numerous sources for the switch.

2004 Sebring sedan. drivers side rear window is stuck down. Trying to remove door panel now. What should I look for to troubleshoot this? Thanks

Most of the time when an issue such as this occurs, the electric motor that operates the window is just stuck, and will need to be gently tapped with a screwdriver, or the wooden end of a hammer. The first thing to do, would be to unplug the switch, and replug it, sometimes it can simply be a bad connection. Try this with the door switch and the electric motor. If that does not work, then try tapping the motor while you, or someone else is operating the switch that will raise the window.

1993 sable.. can't get it out of park

Possible that your safety switch is stuck. When you step on the brake with the engine running or the key in the run position, you should hear a slight click coming from the console under the gear shifter. If you hear this click at least you know that signal is getting to the switch. If you don't hear the click the problem is probably electrical. There is a small plug in the top of the console near the shifter. Remove the plug and try to insert a long nail or small screwdriver blade down into the hole. When you feel resistance continue to lightly apply pressure. By doing this you are attempting to manually overide the safety switch. Try to shift the car out of park while you are applying pressure with the nail or screwdriver. (Have parking brake set). I believe there is a section on this in the owners manual also. If you do hear it but it won't come out of gear, remove the console (very easy, can be done with a phillips screwdriver) Two screws at rear of console, two in the middle after you remove the rear section and a couple of push pins in the front. After console is removed you will be able to see under the shifter. On the passenger side you will see the safety switch. Try to move the safety switch linkage back and forth with your finger. If it moves easily it could be a bad switch. If it is very hard to move then the pivot for the linkage may be rusty and too difficult for the safety switch to move. This can be easily fixed by applying some WD40 to the pivot. It is located in the very bottom of the shifter assembly. You may be able to spray some into the well without removing the shifter if you have an extension tube on your WD40 can.

Bright lights wont click back off

the switch under the dash attached to the column has most likely moved and there will be a steel rod that connects from the "Blinker" handle and pushes on the hi/low switch on the column.. If you remove the under dash panel, you should be able to see this steel rod running down the left of the steering column, then at the lower end of the rod you will see the switch. it will have three wires in it. just push down on the part that the rod meets with on the switch and the low beams should work. if this works then the switch is still good and need to be adjusted up alittle. if the switch doesn't click to low beams then you will need to change the switch. good luck

My kia is stuck in park,

Check to see if the brake lights go on. also listen for a click sound in the shift lever location when you hit the brake pedal. if neither one of these things are occuring then you have a brake light switch problem. you need to replace that and it should all work.

On/off switch is faulty

I just fixed my Dyson DC17 last night with this same problem. You will need a T-15 Torx screwdriver and (optionally - this just makes part of it easier) a small flathead screwdriver.

Pull the extension hose out to expose the area behind the power switch. There will be 2 small screws there. Unscrew them with the Torx screwdriver. Next there are 4 plastic tabs that need to be pushed in (this is where the flathead is helpful, but I was able to do them with just my fingers). When you push the tabs in, you can remove the switch cover from the front. (I also removed the dust collection container) You should see two small black boxes with a small reddish-colored switch on top - these are the switches. One is for turning the brush on/off (on the left, as you face it) and the other is power (on the right). Slide the black box for the power switch out of it's position. This may not be everyone's problem, but my switch apparently had something inside it that was stuck. As it is opaque and had no obvious way to open it, I can't say exactly what was wrong. I just flicked it a few times with my finger until the switch on top popped up. After that, when I pressed it down, it clicked into place. Pressing it again made it click out of the held position. Put everything back together and you should be good to go.
