Aeg 72630 update will not rinse during rinse cycle
The washing machine stops following the wash cycle. The water has been pumped out and now its in rinse mode . The machine stops .No water enters the machine. No FAULT CODE DISPLAYED.I have cleaned the drain pipe of the washing machine which was completely blocked and so the the external drain pipe too.The mode of failure is intermittent.I found that if I leave the machine for hour and restart the rinse cycle it works. On another occasion I emptied the resdual water from the emergency drain outlet and the machine worked too . Any suggestion
I called Asko's 800 # and they were kind but not useful. They didn't have the "fault" error in their database. Weird. Mine is still not working correctly and I know all the lines are clear.

Re: aeg 72630 update will not rinse during rinse cycle
If is an asko remove the top panel and check the triple valve for a faulty solenoid, also remove paddle from inside the drum with a screwdriver in the middle hole and pull toward you,and look inside the black sump hose to see if theres a plastic ball in the hose if so you need to remove it take of front panel/s to get access to the hose.also check for coins in the hoses acting like a valve.let me know and i will think of somthing else

Long shot, but does it fill the same as when new? I would check the atmospheric switch which is a hollow tube that runs down the inside of the drum(not in the wash cage) when the water fills, It pushes air up to stop the fill. It may have gotten clogged. Or partially clogged.
Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)
According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.
Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes. 1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate. 2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.
Press first left up button and first left down button simultaneously
( during the execution of the washing programme ) for at least 2 seconds: the LED switch off and then display the sequence of flashes indicating the alarm.
The alarm sequence is displayed for the time in which the buttons are hold down.
When you read the alarm code,we will be able assume what may be faulty.
if the drain pump or drain motor is weak this
is will cause and long time draining or totally not running the drain pump or
drain motor and its cause of totally stop the cycle of washing machine in rinse
time or spin time, because all fully automatic washing machine, after washing
cycle the drain pump or drain motor must be on, to remove water before start
the next cycle. rinse or spin cycle. need to replace the part but dont try it if you dont have idea how to do. call the technician for your safety and not to waste money.
This is usually caused by the recycling pump running empty whilst the washing is still soaking up the initial fill water. as the water begins to soak the clothes it then starts to pass through the drum into the pump and the whole thing quietens down. running empty will not work. to test this theory try opening the drawer very slightly and filling it manually with a hose before starting the machine, (ONLY TO THE NORMAL LEVEL) and see if the noise is still as bad.
