    Hi again,

Unfortunatley you will not be able to perform an eRecovery on the system you have currently ,

only because your friends install to your new operating system,

if he made back ups at the time then it may be reversible,

In my opinion the restore discs are the ticket, and worth the money,

    there is another way

,Acer can order you a set of restore disks, pay for them first

    or

you could download all the drivers and applications by using the following steps,,,

    from

    www.acer.co.nz

    go to service & support

    then download driver

    click on Notebook'

    Then Aspire

    Then Aspire 5315

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

All Device drivers and applications etc....

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    for XP
    +++++++++++++++++++++

Once you have downloaded all the devices and applications

then you will have to burn/load them on to a cd/dvd disk

for storage and for your repair back upz for next time.

Fix Using these steps ==== XP >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    go to Start

    right click on my computer,

    left click on properties

    device manager -

this will show you a list of every device on the computer

any with a yellow question mark need drivers update.....

Right click on the device with a yellow question mark and

    update driver,

if it asks for a internet search let if find the disk you made with all the earlier info you downloaded and use that to update the drivers as your master drivers cd,Once you have the system running the way you want, then do a back up so your reinstalls will be easier in the future.45 mins versus 12 hours,

Need more help please let me know,Misterdj

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Hi!
Sorry, I hope I was not too late. You can fix priority order issue by restoring the default value of BIOS. You can do that by doing the steps below:
1. Reboot your Acer Aspire 5315 notebook.
2. Wait about 30 seconds until you see the Acer logo on your laptop screen.
3. Press the "F2" key on the keyboard to enter the Acer Aspire 5315 laptop BIOS menu.
4. Select the BIOS option "Load Default Setting" using the arrow keys on your keyboard. Then press "Enter."
5. Press the "F10" key to save the BIOS that is reset to the factory default settings.
Hope this helps.

Reboot to factory settings

if you have a backup on another drive or you were told that its has a default backup from the factory itself then you can try pressing f8 when you reboot your laptop. then an option will be shown if you want to reformat to factory settings etc.mine is ctrl + f8 to get to that option, yours probably is just f6.

Need to Restore My Acer Aspire 5315

Turn on your laptop...as soon as it turns you push thepower botton start pressing F8, this will take you to the system recovery screen. You will need to pick the option that says system restore. Dont pick the option that says restore to a restore point, you will need to pick the one that say destructive restore. usually u get this option by pressing the advanced options. It will give you a warning about the system being reformatted...are you sure...yada yada yada... click ok and it should reformat the system and then reinstall the original facotry software

Factory restore

Yes, Usually when you purchase a computer, the computer manufacturer has set a certain key or keys that you can press if you ever wish to reset your computer back to its factory settings. If your computer is still the same way now as it was when you purchased it, then pretty much all you have to do is contact your computer manufacturer, or read your paperwork/owner's manual ( this might be on a cd), or maybe even go to your manufacturer's website and search. Either one of these ways should give you the way to reset your computer. Hope this helps!
