Question about Car Audio Receivers

Speaker trouble Ok, I have wired everything up exactly how it supposed to be. When i turn the cd player on the face lights up and i am able to play cd's and use the radio but none of the speakers are putting out any sound at all. I also have my amp and subwoofers wired up and the subs work fine. I just cannot figure out why the speakers wont work and i know everything is wired right. can you please help me?

Alpine CDA-9885 has no sound to rear speakers when playing a CD. Works OK when in tuner mode?? What up??

Are you running your rear speaker through an amplifier? If so, you are probably using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amp remote turn on). The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, thus turning off the amplifier.

My cd player lights up but doesn't play any music

Hello,
Do you have your speakers hooked up? If you are listening to the radio do you have an antenna hooked up? If your stereo has power then check the wiring to your speakers.

Cd player plays, but no sound comes out of speakers.

first off the amp gets power straight from the battery. the amp is used to power the subs. the subs are suppose to be connected to the amp only( never the speakers).

for the second part you mostlikely killed the wires. you should get some one to look at it and check the wires. thee speakers might need to be re-wired

Plays radio not cds

You may have Power antenna and amp remote turn on wires switched. Your system may be looking for turn on signal from radio and only gets it when am or fm is on because power antenna wire is hooked up instead of amp turn on signal.

make sure the speaker grounds are connected to the speaker ground wires on the deck and not the "chassis" ground. also make sure both power wires are hooked up to a power source. the thinner power wire is supposed to be a switched source (like the ignition key or an accessory switch) that turns the unit on and the thicker one is a constant source which actually powers the deck once the switched source is turned on.

Speaker issues

Disconnect whatever wire is connected to the blue wire behind your head unit. Re-connect it to the blue/white wire, instead.
